A cobertura completa do evento aparecer\u00e1 em uma pr\u00f3xima edi\u00e7\u00e3o da Farm Chemicals International, mas, enquanto isso, aqui est\u00e3o alguns destaques das apresenta\u00e7\u00f5es entregues a n\u00f3s no Summit.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Vendas fortes em 2005<\/strong> \u2013 As vendas de produtos agr\u00edcolas da BASF atingiram aproximadamente US$ $4,1 bilh\u00f5es, lideradas por fungicidas (40%) e herbicidas (37%), com inseticidas e outros produtos representando 23% do total de vendas. Regionalmente, a maior parte das vendas da BASF foi na Europa (43%), seguida pela Am\u00e9rica do Norte (29%), Am\u00e9rica do Sul (20%) e regi\u00e3o \u00c1sia-Pac\u00edfico (8%). Heinz observou que a maioria dos participantes da ind\u00fastria est\u00e1, de fato, reduzindo a pesquisa, e apenas dois ou tr\u00eas demonstraram um forte comprometimento com o desenvolvimento de novos produtos. Enquanto muitos viam os herbicidas como um beco sem sa\u00edda devido \u00e0 ubiquidade do glifosato, Markus Heldt, vice-presidente do grupo, Am\u00e9rica do Norte para a BASF, mostrou que os crescentes problemas de resist\u00eancia nos principais mercados est\u00e3o, na verdade, tornando a inova\u00e7\u00e3o em herbicidas e as estrat\u00e9gias de gerenciamento de resist\u00eancia grandes \u00e1reas de oportunidade. Aqueles em lan\u00e7amento inicial incluem quatro fungicidas direcionados a cereais, soja, culturas especiais e usos n\u00e3o agr\u00edcolas; tr\u00eas herbicidas direcionados a cereais e milho; e um inseticida para uso n\u00e3o agr\u00edcola. O pico de potencial de vendas desses produtos \u00e9 de quase US$ $1,5 bilh\u00e3o, com US$ $125 milh\u00f5es adicionais vindos de um novo fungicida adicional. Nos est\u00e1gios iniciais de desenvolvimento, a empresa tem dois fungicidas para cereais, arroz, culturas especiais e usos n\u00e3o agr\u00edcolas; dois herbicidas para milho e usos n\u00e3o agr\u00edcolas; uma caracter\u00edstica de toler\u00e2ncia a herbicida para soja; e dois inseticidas para culturas especiais e usos n\u00e3o agr\u00edcolas. Espera-se que esses produtos tenham pico de vendas na \u00e1rea de US$ $870 milh\u00f5es, al\u00e9m de vendas adicionais de um novo inseticida em desenvolvimento.<br \/> &nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Retornos antecipados<\/strong> \u2013 A BASF teve boa aceita\u00e7\u00e3o de seu fungicida Boscalid. Produtores norte-americanos e europeus o adotaram, e os registros agora est\u00e3o dispon\u00edveis em mais de 40 pa\u00edses em mais de 100 culturas. O fungicida F 500 provou seus benef\u00edcios \u00e0 sa\u00fade das plantas e retornos lucrativos de rendimento e qualidade, de acordo com Heinz. Em 2005, os produtos baseados em F 500 chegaram perto de US$ $500 milh\u00f5es em vendas. Mais adiante (2009\/10), a BASF planeja lan\u00e7ar uma nova tecnologia de fungicida F 600 que complementa as tecnologias dispon\u00edveis atualmente e fornece uma ferramenta de gerenciamento de resist\u00eancia. Outro lan\u00e7amento pendente \u00e9 o inseticida metaflumizona, que pode estar dispon\u00edvel j\u00e1 em setembro ou dezembro nos EUA em vegetais, batatas, algod\u00e3o e em iscas para formigas de fogo.<br \/> &nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pronto para biocombust\u00edvel<\/strong> \u2013 Como todos, a BASF est\u00e1 de olho nos mercados de energia renov\u00e1vel.
