Mas encontrar novas caracter\u00edsticas gen\u00e9ticas que possam facilitar a adapta\u00e7\u00e3o \u2013 e incorpor\u00e1-las em variedades comercialmente bem-sucedidas \u2013 \u00e9 demorado, caro e tecnicamente dif\u00edcil, um problema que <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ers.usda.gov\/media\/1829729\/eib139.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">novo estudo<\/a> dos endere\u00e7os do Servi\u00e7o de Pesquisa Econ\u00f4mica do Departamento de Agricultura dos Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p>O estudo, \u201cUsando recursos gen\u00e9ticos de culturas para ajudar a agricultura a se adaptar \u00e0s mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas: economia e pol\u00edtica\u201d, diz que, nos \u00faltimos anos, a demanda por recursos gen\u00e9ticos de culturas do Sistema Nacional de Germoplasma de Plantas (NPGS) dos EUA aumentou rapidamente, mesmo com a queda do or\u00e7amento do NPGS em d\u00f3lares reais.<\/p>\n<div>Caracter\u00edsticas que impulsionam a adapta\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s culturas, que podem ser encontradas em recursos gen\u00e9ticos como variedades locais (variedades locais desenvolvidas por agricultores ao longo de muitos anos) ou em parentes selvagens de culturas nacionais, podem ser incorporadas a variedades que ganham ampla produ\u00e7\u00e3o comercial.
