Por exemplo, temos v\u00e1rias novas tecnologias em cereais e um novo herbicida que vai aprimorar essa franquia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A Dow tamb\u00e9m planeja preencher lacunas no portf\u00f3lio da empresa para oferecer uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o mais completa para os produtores. Neste caso, isso significa adicionar um fungicida.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA Europa \u00e9 uma oportunidade de crescimento direcionada para n\u00f3s. Temos tecnologias que v\u00eam tanto das plataformas de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos quanto de sementes, especialmente nas Am\u00e9ricas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Em 2014, a Dow AgroSciences obteve $7,29 bilh\u00f5es em receita com seu portf\u00f3lio de ci\u00eancias agr\u00edcolas, dos quais 78% foram prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos e 22% foram sementes. Am\u00e9rica do Norte e Am\u00e9rica Latina foram os dois maiores mercados, respondendo por 40% e 31%, respectivamente. \u00c1sia\/Pac\u00edfico e Europa, Oriente M\u00e9dio, \u00c1frica e \u00cdndia (EMEAI) responderam por 10% e 19% de receita, respectivamente.<\/p>\n<p>Com o decl\u00ednio dos pre\u00e7os das commodities agr\u00edcolas afetando desproporcionalmente as Am\u00e9ricas, a empresa tem se concentrado em mercados em crescimento, principalmente \u00cdndia e China.<br \/>\n\u201cO arroz \u00e9 uma cultura essencial para n\u00f3s e somos l\u00edderes de mercado em herbicidas para arroz\u201d, ele diz. \u201cLan\u00e7amos uma nova tecnologia nos \u00faltimos anos e estamos prestes a lan\u00e7ar outro produto que sair\u00e1 do nosso pipeline de descoberta nos pr\u00f3ximos dois anos.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A Dow lan\u00e7ar\u00e1 sua nova tecnologia em tr\u00eas ondas. A primeira onda, que j\u00e1 come\u00e7ou, inclui o inseticida ativo Isoclast e o herbicida Enlist Duo (glifosato e 2,4-D). O ativo Isoclast (sulfoxaflor) foi lan\u00e7ado inicialmente em 2014 com registro em 22 pa\u00edses, e a empresa espera adicionar mais 11 este ano. O produto marca um novo segmento de mercado para a Dow com um produto projetado para tratar insetos que se alimentam de seiva.<br \/>\n\u201cRecebemos as aprova\u00e7\u00f5es para o Canad\u00e1 e os EUA (para o Enlist Duo)\u201d, enquanto o lan\u00e7amento est\u00e1 pendente, diz Hassinger. A Dow concluiu a primeira etapa do processo de aprova\u00e7\u00e3o para o Brasil e espera obter as aprova\u00e7\u00f5es necess\u00e1rias na Argentina ainda este ano. As aprova\u00e7\u00f5es de cultivo est\u00e3o avan\u00e7ando conforme o planejado. O pr\u00f3ximo passo \u00e9 obter as aprova\u00e7\u00f5es de importa\u00e7\u00e3o da China.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEstamos no meio desse processo agora\u201d, disse Hassinger. \u201c\u00c9 dif\u00edcil prever exatamente quando isso ocorrer\u00e1.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A segunda onda concentra a aten\u00e7\u00e3o na Europa.<br \/>\nA Dow tamb\u00e9m recebeu registro em tr\u00eas pa\u00edses, incluindo a China, para um novo herbicida para cereais chamado Arylex (halauxifen-methyl) active herbicide, um produto que complementa o portf\u00f3lio de herbicidas para cereais existente da empresa, diz Hassinger. Arylex active \u00e9 um herbicida para ervas daninhas de folhas largas para trigo, cevada, e tamb\u00e9m pode ser usado para queima. O lan\u00e7amento previsto \u00e9 entre 2015 e 2018. Depois disso, haver\u00e1 um novo fungicida para cereais, que ainda n\u00e3o foi nomeado. A empresa diz que oferecer\u00e1 um novo modo de a\u00e7\u00e3o de uma nova \u00e1rea da qu\u00edmica. O lan\u00e7amento previsto para esse produto \u00e9 entre 2018 e 2019.<\/p>\n<p>A terceira onda volta o foco para a \u00c1sia.<br \/>\nO novo herbicida de arroz da Dow, Rinskor (uma nova mol\u00e9cula de 6-arilpicolinato) ativo \u00e9 um herbicida p\u00f3s-emergente que controla gram\u00edneas, folhas largas e juncos em v\u00e1rias culturas. Ele ser\u00e1 um excelente ajuste na China e na \u00cdndia, diz Hassinger. O Rinskor deve ser lan\u00e7ado entre 2018 e 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEssas s\u00e3o as tecnologias que estamos destacando para os pr\u00f3ximos cinco anos\u201d, diz Hassinger. \u201c\u00c9 o pipeline mais forte e robusto que j\u00e1 tivemos. Nosso l\u00edder de P&amp;D tem uma \u00f3tima frase quando fala internamente: &#039;Temos algo para todos&#039;. \u201cNossas tecnologias se encaixam em todo o mundo. Cada geografia participar\u00e1 de uma ou mais dessas tecnologias.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A Dow AgroSciences n\u00e3o est\u00e1 focada apenas na tecnologia. A empresa tamb\u00e9m reestruturou seus recursos para melhor atender seus mercados. A empresa anunciou recentemente a reestrutura\u00e7\u00e3o das geografias EMEA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUm processo regulat\u00f3rio comum em toda a Europa nos permite montar uma organiza\u00e7\u00e3o que se alinha com a maneira como as decis\u00f5es regulat\u00f3rias s\u00e3o tomadas\u201d, diz Hassinger. \u201cTemos muitas novas tecnologias que est\u00e3o sendo lan\u00e7adas na Europa, ent\u00e3o quer\u00edamos centralizar parte da expertise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A empresa tamb\u00e9m anunciou a expans\u00e3o de sua unidade de P&amp;D em Porto Rico.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEste \u00e9 um local de sementes e biotecnologia para n\u00f3s, um local de P&amp;D que tamb\u00e9m produz sementes-m\u00e3e\u201d, diz Hassinger. \u201cEstamos em Porto Rico desde 1992. Vemos Porto Rico como uma instala\u00e7\u00e3o que realmente complementa nosso local de produ\u00e7\u00e3o no Hava\u00ed. \u00c0 medida que passamos por esse per\u00edodo de crescimento, conseguimos acumular e desenvolver o melhor pipeline de descoberta que j\u00e1 tivemos em nossa hist\u00f3ria.
