Essa melhora foi impulsionada por despesas operacionais menores do que o esperado e resultados da soja Brazil Intacta RR2 PRO maiores do que o esperado.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As vendas l\u00edquidas totais da Monsanto no primeiro trimestre foram de $2,2 bilh\u00f5es, em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com $2,9 bilh\u00f5es no mesmo per\u00edodo do ano passado.<\/p>\n<p>Seu segmento de Produtividade Agr\u00edcola, que abrange prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos e produtos herbicidas para gramados e jardins, relatou vendas de $820 milh\u00f5es no trimestre, abaixo dos $1,2 bilh\u00e3o do ano anterior.<\/p>\n<p>A Monsanto disse que continua esperando que o lucro bruto do segmento de Produtividade Agr\u00edcola fique na faixa de $900 milh\u00f5es a $1,1 bilh\u00e3o no ano fiscal de 2016, com a expectativa de que os decl\u00ednios relacionados ao tempo nos volumes do primeiro trimestre sejam recuperados na segunda metade do ano. A orienta\u00e7\u00e3o cont\u00ednua do EPS reflete em parte uma estimativa de $0,60 a $0,70 de ventos contr\u00e1rios da moeda, maior do que as estimativas anteriores de $0,35 a $0,40.
