De acordo com a Carlos Cogo Consultancy, h\u00e1 cerca de 128 milh\u00f5es de hectares dispon\u00edveis para agricultura.<\/p>\n<p>Produzir mais com menos insumos tornou-se uma abordagem ainda mais importante em 2014, ap\u00f3s crises pol\u00edticas internas impactarem significativamente a economia. A desvaloriza\u00e7\u00e3o da moeda local (real) e o aumento de impostos e juros afetaram negativamente os lucros dos produtores. Al\u00e9m disso, uma recess\u00e3o diminuiu a disponibilidade de cr\u00e9dito. Como resultado, opera\u00e7\u00f5es de escambo e contratos futuros ganharam import\u00e2ncia como um meio de minimizar perdas. A redu\u00e7\u00e3o de custos, no entanto, parece ser a maneira mais eficaz de equilibrar os custos de produ\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Esses fatores contribu\u00edram para que a ind\u00fastria brasileira de CPP sofresse uma queda de 22% nas vendas em 2015 em compara\u00e7\u00e3o a 2014, o que levou a uma queda de 10% globalmente. De acordo com pesquisas da Kleffmann, essa queda \u00e9 a primeira redu\u00e7\u00e3o que o mercado mundial de CPP viu nesta d\u00e9cada ap\u00f3s cinco anos de crescimento cont\u00ednuo. Os pain\u00e9is brasileiros do AMIS de 2015 estimam que o valor de mercado do usu\u00e1rio final foi de $11,5 bilh\u00f5es, o que representa quase 700.000 toneladas de agroqu\u00edmicos usados por agricultores em 60 milh\u00f5es de hectares. Cerca de 81% desses produtos foram pulverizados sobre \u00e1reas de produ\u00e7\u00e3o de soja, cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar e milho (Fig. 2).<\/p>\n<p>A \u00e1rea de cultivo de soja no Brasil vem aumentando 5% a cada ano durante as \u00faltimas tr\u00eas safras, especialmente para pastagem, arroz e milho de ver\u00e3o. Apesar do crescimento da \u00e1rea, o mercado de soja 2015\/16 diminuiu 1% em vendas, principalmente devido \u00e0 redu\u00e7\u00e3o de aplica\u00e7\u00f5es de inseticidas devido ao aumento de variedades Bt (Intacta). Portanto, as lagartas perderam alguma import\u00e2ncia no manejo de pragas, enquanto a \u00e1rea tratada com percevejos aumentou quase 30% em compara\u00e7\u00e3o ao ciclo 2014\/15.<\/p>\n<p>Os inseticidas foram o segmento mais relevante em termos de receita na safra 2014\/15, quando a \u00e1rea Intacta representou 19% do total de terras cultiv\u00e1veis. Quando a \u00e1rea cultivada com biotecnologia Bt dobrou, os fungicidas assumiram o t\u00edtulo de maior segmento no manejo de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos de soja. As vendas de fungicidas aumentaram 10%, impulsionadas pelo aumento no n\u00famero de aplica\u00e7\u00f5es, enquanto os custos de tratamento diminu\u00edram 6%. Na safra 2014\/15, nem todos os produtores fizeram tr\u00eas pulveriza\u00e7\u00f5es de fungicidas, mas no ciclo 2015\/16, pelo menos 18% da \u00e1rea de soja recebeu quatro aplica\u00e7\u00f5es de fungicida. A ferrugem da soja continua sendo o principal alvo, com 83% de \u00e1rea plantada tratada para a doen\u00e7a.<\/p>\n<p>Por fim, as vendas de herbicidas apresentaram o aumento mais significativo: 24% em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 safra anterior. Apesar da redu\u00e7\u00e3o de pre\u00e7o dos produtos n\u00e3o seletivos mais utilizados, os produtores investiram 18% a mais no manejo de herbicidas por hectare, em grande parte devido ao aumento das taxas de dose para controlar ervas daninhas resistentes. Portanto, o crescimento da \u00e1rea tratada acompanhou o aumento da \u00e1rea cultivada, mas a quantidade de herbicidas utilizados foi quase 10% maior. Com apenas 4% de \u00e1rea de cultivo de soja cultivada com variedades convencionais, o glifosato continua sendo o ingrediente ativo mais utilizado, representando cerca de 60% do volume.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-57998\" src=\"https:\/\/d6kq167ddwbdq.cloudfront.net\/farmchemint\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/June_Kleffmann_2-222x300.jpg\" alt=\"June_Kleffmann_2\" width=\"222\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d6kq167ddwbdq.cloudfront.net\/farmchemint\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/June_Kleffmann_2-222x300.jpg 222w, https:\/\/d6kq167ddwbdq.cloudfront.net\/farmchemint\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/June_Kleffmann_2-244x330.jpg 244w, https:\/\/d6kq167ddwbdq.cloudfront.net\/farmchemint\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/June_Kleffmann_2-53x72.jpg 53w, https:\/\/d6kq167ddwbdq.cloudfront.net\/farmchemint\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/June_Kleffmann_2-266x360.jpg 266w, https:\/\/d6kq167ddwbdq.cloudfront.net\/farmchemint\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/June_Kleffmann_2-63x85.jpg 63w, https:\/\/d6kq167ddwbdq.cloudfront.net\/farmchemint\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/June_Kleffmann_2-150x203.jpg 150w, https:\/\/d6kq167ddwbdq.cloudfront.net\/farmchemint\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/June_Kleffmann_2.jpg 285w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 222px) 100vw, 222px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Por outro lado, o mercado de CPP de cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar viu um aumento de vendas de 3%, embora a \u00e1rea cultivada tenha permanecido a mesma. O principal impulsionador foi o n\u00famero crescente de aplica\u00e7\u00f5es, especialmente de inseticidas. Na temporada de 2013, apenas 65% da \u00e1rea foi pulverizada duas vezes com inseticidas, enquanto em 2015, quase 60% da \u00e1rea recebeu tr\u00eas aplica\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p>O impacto das regulamenta\u00e7\u00f5es governamentais \u2014 a proibi\u00e7\u00e3o da queima pr\u00e9-colheita no estado de S\u00e3o Paulo, por exemplo \u2014 teve um efeito no manejo de pragas da cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar. Como a colheita mecanizada atingiu quase 85% de \u00e1rea cultivada, mais palha foi deixada sobre a superf\u00edcie do solo, promovendo condi\u00e7\u00f5es favor\u00e1veis para a dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o de pragas do solo como broca e cigarrinha-das-ra\u00edzes, o que por sua vez leva a mais aplica\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p>Para cerca de 60% da \u00e1rea tratada contra a broca (a mais significativa das quais \u00e9 a Cotesia flavipes), os produtores usaram produtos biol\u00f3gicos para controle. Recentemente, as usinas de a\u00e7\u00facar t\u00eam aumentado o uso de agroqu\u00edmicos como uma forma complementar de tratamento da broca. Embora o controle biol\u00f3gico tamb\u00e9m seja relevante para a cigarrinha-das-ra\u00edzes \u2014 em um ponto, 30% das planta\u00e7\u00f5es foram tratadas com Metarhizium spp. \u2014 o controle agroqu\u00edmico tem sido o principal tratamento.<\/p>\n<p>Herbicidas s\u00e3o o maior segmento de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos no mercado de cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar, representando 52% de receita na temporada de 2015. Os herbicidas tiveram uma queda de 7% em valor quando as usinas de a\u00e7\u00facar come\u00e7aram a usar produtos mais gen\u00e9ricos na mistura do tanque para reduzir os custos de aplica\u00e7\u00e3o. Mas o volume pulverizado sobre a cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar aumentou 5%.<br \/>\nEntre as plantas daninhas, a Brachiaria decumbens \u00e9 a mais significativa, infestando 60% de \u00e1rea cultivada de cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar.<\/p>\n<p>A \u00e1rea cultivada de milho aumentou 5% na temporada 2014\/15 em compara\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 anterior, enquanto o mercado CPP viu um crescimento de receita de quase 20%. A maior parte desse crescimento foi devido \u00e0 &quot;tecnifica\u00e7\u00e3o&quot; intensiva da colheita de inverno. Herbicidas continuam a ser o segmento mais significativo, mas aumentaram a uma taxa consideravelmente mais lenta do que outros devido \u00e0 ado\u00e7\u00e3o de h\u00edbridos resistentes ao glifosato. O resultado \u00e9 uma redu\u00e7\u00e3o do uso seletivo de produtos.<\/p>\n<p>H\u00edbridos Roundup Ready (RR) foram plantados em 43% da \u00e1rea total de milho, considerando as colheitas de ver\u00e3o e inverno, o que levou a um aumento no uso de glifosato. A alta taxa de ado\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o \u00e9 surpreendente, pois o custo de herbicidas por hectare em h\u00edbridos RR pode ser at\u00e9 15% menor do que as variedades convencionais.<\/p>\n<p>Os produtores de milho, diferentemente dos produtores de soja, n\u00e3o est\u00e3o t\u00e3o preocupados com a resist\u00eancia das ervas daninhas porque n\u00e3o pararam totalmente de usar herbicidas seletivos. O milho \u00e9 geralmente cultivado em rota\u00e7\u00e3o com a soja, ent\u00e3o os produtores est\u00e3o cientes da necessidade de mudar os ingredientes ativos tamb\u00e9m. Mas isso n\u00e3o pode ser tomado como uma verdade geral, ent\u00e3o espera-se que o uso de herbicidas seletivos no milho aumente, especialmente no Centro-Oeste, onde os produtores est\u00e3o usando glifosato p\u00f3s-emerg\u00eancia em \u00e1reas maiores.<\/p>\n<p>Cerca de 85% de \u00e1rea de milho foi cultivada com h\u00edbridos Bt na temporada 2014\/15. Apesar disso, as vendas de inseticidas aumentaram 38%, porque algumas caracter\u00edsticas se mostraram ineficazes em evitar danos de lagarta. Em geral, os produtores mostraram uma prefer\u00eancia por produtos CPP contra pragas de lagarta em vez de h\u00edbridos Bt. Eles simplesmente reduziram o n\u00famero de pulveriza\u00e7\u00f5es quando comparados a h\u00edbridos n\u00e3o Bt.<\/p>\n<p>Ao mesmo tempo, os produtores fizeram mais aplica\u00e7\u00f5es contra percevejos fedorentos e outros insetos sugadores, especialmente no milho de inverno. O acefato, o ativo mais usado para controle de percevejos fedorentos, tamb\u00e9m teve um aumento significativo de pre\u00e7o. A combina\u00e7\u00e3o desses dois fatores resultou na duplica\u00e7\u00e3o do mercado de percevejos fedorentos em compara\u00e7\u00e3o ao ano passado.<br \/>\nA ado\u00e7\u00e3o de fungicidas \u00e9 significativamente maior no milho de inverno em compara\u00e7\u00e3o ao milho de ver\u00e3o (86% vs. 48% de \u00e1rea cultivada, respectivamente). Embora os produtores de milho de ver\u00e3o tendam a gastar mais em fungicidas, a \u00e1rea tratada com fungicida no milho de inverno \u00e9 cinco vezes maior, o que levou a um aumento geral de 28% nas vendas de produtos. Al\u00e9m disso, a ferrugem continua sendo a doen\u00e7a que mais precisa de controle. Cerca de 60% da \u00e1rea total de milho recebe pelo menos uma aplica\u00e7\u00e3o, embora a mancha foliar (Phaeosphaeria spp.) tenha ganhado import\u00e2ncia recentemente.<\/p>\n<p>A grande maioria dos produtores de milho tamb\u00e9m cultivam lavouras de soja, ent\u00e3o eles usam produtos similares em termos de manejo de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de lavouras. \u00c9 por isso que misturas prontas de estrobilurinas e triaz\u00f3is s\u00e3o os produtos mais usados tanto para ferrugem da soja quanto do milho.<\/p>\n<p>Apesar da crise pol\u00edtica e econ\u00f4mica que o pa\u00eds enfrentou nos \u00faltimos dois anos, principalmente devido a esc\u00e2ndalos de corrup\u00e7\u00e3o, o setor agr\u00edcola est\u00e1 se mantendo unido. O PIB do Brasil em 2015 diminuiu quase 2%, mas a redu\u00e7\u00e3o provavelmente teria sido maior se n\u00e3o fosse pelo setor de agroneg\u00f3cio, que aumentou 4% devido \u00e0 produ\u00e7\u00e3o recorde de gr\u00e3os. Essa tend\u00eancia pode n\u00e3o durar nos pr\u00f3ximos anos, a menos que os produtores mudem a maneira como administram seus neg\u00f3cios.<\/p>\n<p>O principal objetivo dos produtores deve ser a redu\u00e7\u00e3o de custos para ganhar competitividade e ampliar a lucratividade. A maioria dos insumos (produtos de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos e fertilizantes) \u00e9 importada, ent\u00e3o o \u00fanico caminho para lucros maiores \u00e9 otimizando recursos. Al\u00e9m disso, a agricultura de precis\u00e3o se tornou uma grande tend\u00eancia entre os produtores brasileiros. O Minist\u00e9rio da Agricultura do Brasil (MAPA) estimou que em 2020, a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de gr\u00e3os atingir\u00e1 275 milh\u00f5es de toneladas, ent\u00e3o o rendimento m\u00e9dio deve aumentar 38%.<\/p>\n<p>O governo brasileiro aumentou o montante de recursos financeiros para o agroneg\u00f3cio para a pr\u00f3xima safra (2015\/16) em 20%, a maior parte para ajudar a comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o e fortalecer os produtores familiares. Essa tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 uma forma de evitar a infla\u00e7\u00e3o: produtores m\u00e9dios organizados em neg\u00f3cios familiares fornecem 70% de produtos agr\u00edcolas para o abastecimento do mercado interno.<\/p>\n<p>O Brasil, \u201co celeiro do mundo\u201d, \u00e9 o maior exportador de soja, carne bovina e de aves e o maior exportador e produtor de a\u00e7\u00facar, caf\u00e9 e suco de laranja.
