Esta prote\u00edna pode ser um componente cr\u00edtico para o gerenciamento da larva da raiz do milho em futuras ofertas de produtos de sementes de milho. O trabalho tamb\u00e9m sugere que bact\u00e9rias diferentes de Bt s\u00e3o fontes alternativas de prote\u00ednas inseticidas para o desenvolvimento de caracter\u00edsticas de controle de insetos.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Uma praga extremamente destrutiva do milho, larvas e adultos do verme da raiz do milho podem causar perdas econ\u00f4micas significativas para os produtores. A resist\u00eancia de insetos evolu\u00edda em campo a certas prote\u00ednas Bt foi observada em algumas geografias.<\/p>\n<p>Outro estudo pioneiro relacionado ao controle de insetos n\u00e3o-Bt, publicado recentemente em <em>Relat\u00f3rios cient\u00edficos<\/em>, mostra como a interfer\u00eancia de RNA (RNAi) pode ser aplicada para controlar os danos causados pela alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o do verme da raiz do milho.<\/p>\n<p>O RNAi \u00e9 um processo biol\u00f3gico que acontece nas c\u00e9lulas de plantas, animais e pessoas. Ao empregar o processo de RNAi, uma planta pode se proteger carregando instru\u00e7\u00f5es que visam precisamente prote\u00ednas espec\u00edficas em pragas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOs produtores precisam de uma pr\u00f3xima gera\u00e7\u00e3o de solu\u00e7\u00f5es para ajudar a proteger suas planta\u00e7\u00f5es. Nossos pesquisadores est\u00e3o desenvolvendo novos modos inovadores para controle de insetos para ajudar a atender \u00e0s demandas futuras.
