A Plant Impact estima que em 2007, isso foi equivalente a quase $16 bilh\u00f5es de rendimento perdido apenas para os produtores de trigo. O impacto da seca em culturas de cereais como milho, arroz e trigo deve continuar a aumentar nas pr\u00f3ximas d\u00e9cadas.<\/p>\n<p>Esta nova colabora\u00e7\u00e3o concede \u00e0 Plant Impact acesso exclusivo ao desenvolvimento e uma op\u00e7\u00e3o de licenciamento para um novo grupo de an\u00e1logos de fosfonamida pirabactina.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Foi descoberto que an\u00e1logos da pirabactina controlam a abertura dos est\u00f4matos das folhas para reduzir a perda de \u00e1gua das folhas.<\/li>\n<li>Isso pode melhorar a efici\u00eancia do uso de \u00e1gua pela planta e aumentar o rendimento em condi\u00e7\u00f5es de seca.<\/li>\n<li>Os compostos inovadores provocam muitas das mesmas respostas do horm\u00f4nio vegetal natural \u00e1cido absc\u00edsico (ABA), mas s\u00e3o mais adequados para serem usados pelos produtores como pulveriza\u00e7\u00e3o foliar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A equipe de P&amp;D da Plant Impact, juntamente com parceiros acad\u00eamicos da Universidade de Ghent, est\u00e1 trabalhando para avan\u00e7ar na compreens\u00e3o das respostas das plantas ao aumento do estresse ambiental e desenvolver e comercializar produtos qu\u00edmicos exclusivos que podem auxiliar os produtores a mitigar perdas de rendimento devido \u00e0 seca. Este novo acordo com a Universidade de Ghent permite que a equipe de P&amp;D da Plant Impact realize avalia\u00e7\u00f5es completas, ensaios em estufa e em campo com os an\u00e1logos de pirabactina com patente pendente, ampliando os projetos de pipeline existentes para mitigar os efeitos da seca em culturas, incluindo soja e trigo, e levando ao desenvolvimento e comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o de novas tecnologias significativas de aprimoramento de culturas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA cria\u00e7\u00e3o desses novos an\u00e1logos de pirabactina demonstra um trabalho empolgante em andamento na Universidade de Ghent\u201d, disse o Dr. Steve Adams, Diretor de P&amp;D da Plant Impact. \u201cEstou muito feliz que nosso novo acordo abra as portas para a Plant Impact promover os avan\u00e7os feitos pelos Professores Stevens e Geelen.
