A tecnologia se baseia no melhoramento gen\u00e9tico de variedades de beterraba tolerantes a herbicidas da classe de inibidores de ALS, com amplo espectro de controle de plantas daninhas.<\/p>\n<p>O sistema CONVISOSMART oferecer\u00e1 aos agricultores uma nova op\u00e7\u00e3o para facilitar o cultivo da beterraba, tornando-a mais flex\u00edvel em termos de janela de aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de herbicidas e, ao mesmo tempo, mais compat\u00edvel com o meio ambiente. A tecnologia estar\u00e1 dispon\u00edvel inicialmente no pr\u00f3ximo ano, principalmente para agricultores do leste e norte da Europa, e posteriormente ser\u00e1 lan\u00e7ada em outros mercados importantes, como Alemanha, Fran\u00e7a e Pol\u00f4nia, a partir de 2019\/2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cO acordo com a SESVanderHave \u00e9 a primeira licen\u00e7a que a KWS e a Bayer concederam para este novo sistema de cultivo. Outras licen\u00e7as do CONVISO SMART est\u00e3o previstas\u201d, afirma Sabine Stolz, Gerente Global do Segmento de Herbicidas para Soja, Colza e Beterraba A\u00e7ucareira da Crop Science. \u201cQueremos o maior n\u00famero poss\u00edvel de melhoristas para esta tecnologia. Envolveremos todas as principais partes interessadas, como institutos de pesquisa em beterraba e servi\u00e7os de consultoria, para garantir o alcance dessa meta.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As novas plantas de beterraba apresentam uma altera\u00e7\u00e3o natural em uma enzima envolvida na bioss\u00edntese de amino\u00e1cidos essenciais. Durante o desenvolvimento, beterrabas com essa enzima alterada espontaneamente foram selecionadas especificamente e utilizadas para melhoramento
