A \u00e1rea de plantio de milho da China dever\u00e1 ser reduzida em 1,33 milh\u00f5es de hectares em 2017, \u00e0 medida que o pa\u00eds busca lidar com o estoque excessivo de milho, de acordo com o Minist\u00e9rio da Agricultura (MOA) e publicado em XinhuaNet.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As redu\u00e7\u00f5es se concentram principalmente em \u00e1reas com produ\u00e7\u00e3o baixa e inst\u00e1vel, incluindo o noroeste \u00e1rido do pa\u00eds e regi\u00f5es desertificadas no sudoeste.<\/p>\n

Anos de apoio aos produtores de milho deixaram a China com um estoque substancial. Em 2016, a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de milho da China ficou em torno de 220 milh\u00f5es de toneladas, enquanto os estoques chegaram a 230 milh\u00f5es de toneladas.<\/p>\n

Para equilibrar o mercado, a China vem pressionando por uma reforma agr\u00edcola desde 2016, pedindo aos agricultores que ajustem sua mistura de culturas para interromper a expans\u00e3o cega e se concentrar no desenvolvimento sustent\u00e1vel, especialmente na ind\u00fastria do milho.<\/p>\n
