Os pesquisadores realizaram a an\u00e1lise mais abrangente de enzimas de desintoxica\u00e7\u00e3o P450 de abelhas j\u00e1 conduzida. O estudo identificou uma subfam\u00edlia dessas enzimas nas abelhas \u2013 CYP9Q<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"unit size-col-d\">\n<div class=\"media float\">\n<div class=\"bd plntxt\">\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">\u2013 e descobriu que era respons\u00e1vel pela r\u00e1pida decomposi\u00e7\u00e3o de certos neonicotinoides, como o tiacloprido, tornando-os virtualmente n\u00e3o t\u00f3xicos para as abelhas. A Bayer est\u00e1 confiante de que esse conhecimento permitir\u00e1 \u00e0 empresa projetar mais inseticidas amig\u00e1veis \u00e0s abelhas de uma forma ainda mais direcionada, usando m\u00e9todos relativamente simples <\/span><i><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">(em vitro)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"> em um est\u00e1gio inicial do desenvolvimento de um produto. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">\u201cIdentificar os mecanismos que contribuem para a toler\u00e2ncia inerente nos ajuda, e aos reguladores, a entender melhor por que certos inseticidas t\u00eam uma alta margem de seguran\u00e7a em abelhas\u201d, disse o Dr. Ralf Nauen, toxicologista de insetos da Bayer e principal pesquisador do estudo. \u201cO conhecimento do nosso estudo tamb\u00e9m pode ser usado para prever e prevenir potenciais efeitos nocivos que resultam do bloqueio inadvertido desses principais sistemas de defesa, por exemplo, por diferentes compostos com efeitos sin\u00e9rgicos em misturas de tanques.\u201d Nauen est\u00e1 confiante de que o conhecimento necess\u00e1rio e as ferramentas obtidas promover\u00e3o a inova\u00e7\u00e3o e melhorar\u00e3o a capacidade da Bayer de desenvolver inseticidas seletivos. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">O artigo, publicado na revista <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cell.com\/current-biology\/fulltext\/S0960-9822(18)30230-6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Biologia Atual<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">, \u00e9 intitulado: \u201cDesvendando os determinantes moleculares da sensibilidade das abelhas aos inseticidas neonicotinoides\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Esse conhecimento \u00e9 valioso em um momento em que se tornou cada vez mais dif\u00edcil registrar novos pesticidas, particularmente na Europa, um desenvolvimento que acabar\u00e1 prejudicando os agricultores, impedindo-os de controlar as pragas que atacam seus campos e produzir os alimentos que todos n\u00f3s apreciamos. O triste \u00e9 que, da mesma forma, o meio ambiente sofrer\u00e1, pois uma produ\u00e7\u00e3o menos eficiente exigir\u00e1 mais uso da terra.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">A seguran\u00e7a antes das vendas se aplica a todos os pesticidas trazidos ao mercado. No entanto, a seguran\u00e7a dos inseticidas neonicotinoides para as abelhas \u00e9 um assunto discutido de forma controversa e que, em 2013, levou \u00e0 proibi\u00e7\u00e3o na Uni\u00e3o Europeia do uso de tr\u00eas compostos em culturas que s\u00e3o atraentes para as abelhas.
