Como a terra cultiv\u00e1vel continua a encolher globalmente, a FAO estima que 90% do aumento desejado na produ\u00e7\u00e3o agr\u00edcola tem que vir de melhorias nos rendimentos das culturas e pelo aumento da intensidade do cultivo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Em segundo lugar, no mundo de hoje o desafio se torna m\u00faltiplo considerando as crescentes preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es ambientais e de seguran\u00e7a alimentar ao redor do mundo.<\/strong> A agricultura est\u00e1 sob crescente demanda e press\u00e3o de grupos de defesa do consumidor e reguladores para garantir que os alimentos sejam cultivados de maneiras significativamente mais sustent\u00e1veis e seguras.
