\nA \u00cdndia est\u00e1 no caminho de migrar da Revolu\u00e7\u00e3o Verde para a Revolu\u00e7\u00e3o Agr\u00edcola Ecol\u00f3gica ou Revolu\u00e7\u00e3o Verde Eterna, e o papel e o potencial dos produtos biol\u00f3gicos (insumos agro-bio) como componente-chave s\u00e3o cada vez mais apreciados em todos os n\u00edveis.<\/p>\n

Percebe-se que os bioinsumos oferecem enormes oportunidades de crescimento porque s\u00e3o ecologicamente corretos, econ\u00f4micos e amig\u00e1veis aos agricultores e consumidores.<\/p>\n

P. Como voc\u00ea descreveria sua experi\u00eancia na cria\u00e7\u00e3o das primeiras plantas semicomerciais de biofertilizantes e biopesticidas da \u00cdndia na d\u00e9cada de 1990 e o cen\u00e1rio atual na \u00cdndia?<\/strong>
\nNos primeiros anos, convencer as pessoas sobre a import\u00e2ncia e o potencial dos insumos biol\u00f3gicos n\u00e3o era f\u00e1cil. Mesmo as ind\u00fastrias progressivas e grandes n\u00e3o estavam interessadas, e a venda de conceitos era um grande desafio. Est\u00e1vamos produzindo apenas um ou dois produtos de monocultura em pequena escala. Nas \u00faltimas duas d\u00e9cadas, esse quadro mudou. Em geral, os produtos biol\u00f3gicos est\u00e3o crescendo a uma taxa de crescimento anual composta muito maior (quase 14%) do que os produtos qu\u00edmicos (cerca de 2%), embora seus volumes ainda sejam muito menores. Existem muitas ind\u00fastrias pequenas, m\u00e9dias e grandes, e o n\u00famero ser\u00e1 muito maior na pr\u00f3xima d\u00e9cada. \nOs produtos biol\u00f3gicos s\u00e3o cada vez mais usados em conjunto com insumos tradicionais em fazendas convencionais. Uma mistura de 20% de insumos convencionais e biol\u00f3gicos parece ser a tend\u00eancia popular inicialmente. (O modelo 20:20 proposto anteriormente por n\u00f3s \u00e9 baseado no modelo \u201cCaminho do Meio\u201d para ajudar a melhorar a produtividade em 20% ou mais, enquanto reduz o custo de insumo em 20% ou mais de forma sustent\u00e1vel e evolutiva.) \nA maioria dos produtos com formula\u00e7\u00f5es multimicrobianas e produtos bot\u00e2nicos est\u00e3o sendo produzidos por pequenas, m\u00e9dias e grandes ind\u00fastrias e at\u00e9 mesmo algumas universidades. H\u00e1 mais de 200 registrantes para bot\u00e2nicos e microbianos somente para biocontrole. H\u00e1 muitas empresas de tecnologia de pequena e m\u00e9dia escala que est\u00e3o produzindo uma gama de produtos de alta qualidade. Seus maiores desafios est\u00e3o nas limita\u00e7\u00f5es de marketing e expans\u00e3o. Houve algumas importa\u00e7\u00f5es de bioestimulantes, especialmente extratos de algas marinhas. Nem todos foram bons, embora alguns tenham se sa\u00eddo muito bem. Em geral, os participantes globais demonstraram interesse em entrar no crescente mercado indiano por meio de acordos colaborativos. Nas ind\u00fastrias de bioinsumos, h\u00e1 espa\u00e7o para todos. O importante \u00e9 apoiar muitas ind\u00fastrias de pequena e m\u00e9dia escala baseadas em P&D e, ao mesmo tempo, ter o controle adequado para garantir a qualidade, mantendo produtos esp\u00farios e de baixa qualidade fora, e garantir que os agricultores continuem recebendo os melhores produtos. P. Qual \u00e9 o ambiente regulat\u00f3rio para produtos biol\u00f3gicos em geral e bioestimulantes em particular?<\/strong>
\nOs produtos biol\u00f3gicos s\u00e3o regulamentados por dois atos: o Fertilizer (Control) Order (FCO) de 1985 e o Insecticides Act de 1968. Ambos os atos foram escritos no contexto de fertilizantes qu\u00edmicos e pesticidas qu\u00edmicos, e h\u00e1 uma demanda por diretrizes comuns para todos os produtos biol\u00f3gicos. Recentemente, uma nova coagula\u00e7\u00e3o da ind\u00fastria biol\u00f3gica, a Biologicals Agri Solutions Association of India (BASAI), foi formada, o que tamb\u00e9m ajudar\u00e1 na conscientiza\u00e7\u00e3o e no foco em padr\u00f5es. \nEmbora a taxa de crescimento dos produtos biol\u00f3gicos seja alta, os produtos qu\u00edmicos n\u00e3o podem ser desejados da noite para o dia. Para pr\u00e1ticas convencionais, j\u00e1 temos uma tend\u00eancia dos dois indo juntos, com o crescimento biol\u00f3gico em uma taxa muito mais r\u00e1pida. Com esse pano de fundo, o modelo 20:20 \u00e9 uma forma evolutiva e apropriada de transforma\u00e7\u00e3o. Al\u00e9m disso, o setor org\u00e2nico exigir\u00e1 pacotes exclusivos de insumos biol\u00f3gicos. Al\u00e9m da \u00cdndia, os pa\u00edses vizinhos, como Bangladesh, But\u00e3o e Sri Lanka, tamb\u00e9m mostram uma tend\u00eancia semelhante. As principais for\u00e7as motrizes para a demanda por produtos biol\u00f3gicos s\u00e3o a preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o ambiental, a conscientiza\u00e7\u00e3o do consumidor, a necessidade desesperada dos agricultores por insumos de baixo custo e a r\u00e1pida taxa de desenvolvimento de produtos biol\u00f3gicos mais novos e eficazes. Foi visto que at\u00e9 mesmo pequenos agricultores analfabetos adotam produtos novos e melhores mais r\u00e1pido do que o esperado. O Grupo de Trabalho (Eco Agricultura) est\u00e1 adotando um roteiro e um plano de a\u00e7\u00e3o, mantendo esses fatores em foco.
