O Comit\u00ea Nacional Tailand\u00eas de Subst\u00e2ncias Perigosas adiou a proibi\u00e7\u00e3o do paraquate e do clorpirif\u00f3s de 1\u00ba de dezembro de 2019 para 1\u00ba de junho de 2020 e restringiu o uso do glifosato para dar tempo de encontrar produtos substitutos.<\/p>\n

A proibi\u00e7\u00e3o come\u00e7ou em 7 de outubro de 2019, quando o vice-ministro da Agricultura e Cooperativas convocou uma reuni\u00e3o de quatro comit\u00eas de grupos de trabalho do Departamento de Agricultura, Importadores, Agricultores e Consumidores. As quest\u00f5es eram o destino de tr\u00eas pesticidas: paraquate, glifosato e clorpirif\u00f3s. As licen\u00e7as de importa\u00e7\u00e3o foram suspensas e os registros n\u00e3o foram renovados para os produtos desde 30 de junho de 2019.<\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m da proibi\u00e7\u00e3o, a vota\u00e7\u00e3o un\u00e2nime significou que os tr\u00eas produtos n\u00e3o poderiam ser importados ou vendidos no pa\u00eds. A vota\u00e7\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m proibiu a posse desses produtos. O vice-ministro da Agricultura e Cooperativas disse que a vota\u00e7\u00e3o foi feita como um presente de Ano Novo dos fazendeiros tailandeses.<\/span><\/p>\n

O comit\u00ea encaminhou sua decis\u00e3o primeiro ao Primeiro-Ministro e depois ao Comit\u00ea Nacional de Subst\u00e2ncias Perigosas (NHSC), composto por 29 membros, que revisou a quest\u00e3o por volta de 27 de outubro de 2019. <\/span>At\u00e9 agora, o NHSC s\u00f3 concordou em restringir o uso at\u00e9 encontrar alternativas melhores, apesar dos apelos generalizados por uma proibi\u00e7\u00e3o total de grupos de defesa da sa\u00fade e do consumidor.<\/span><\/p>\n

A proibi\u00e7\u00e3o inclui a importa\u00e7\u00e3o, venda e posse em vigor a partir de 1\u00ba de dezembro de 2019.<\/td>\n
