Al\u00e9m do gene G2-epsps de toler\u00e2ncia ao glifosato, que a BRI desenvolveu e a Origin tem direitos comerciais exclusivos globais em milho, soja e outras culturas importantes, a Origin e a BRI expandir\u00e3o sua colabora\u00e7\u00e3o para desenvolver variedades de soja transg\u00eanica de toler\u00e2ncia a dicamba, toler\u00e2ncia \u00e0 seca e toler\u00e2ncia ao sal alcalino usando tr\u00eas genes rec\u00e9m-desenvolvidos e patenteados pela BRI.<\/p>\n<p>Ao longo dos anos, a Origin tem cooperado com a BRI no desenvolvimento de v\u00e1rias caracter\u00edsticas GM, incluindo milho fitase OGM, milho com toler\u00e2ncia ao glifosato e milho com resist\u00eancia a insetos e toler\u00e2ncia ao glifosato empilhados duplamente. A caracter\u00edstica do milho fitase recebeu aprova\u00e7\u00e3o de biosseguran\u00e7a em 2009. V\u00e1rios h\u00edbridos comerciais de milho fitase de elite foram desenvolvidos e aguardam aprova\u00e7\u00e3o de biosseguran\u00e7a de variedade.
