O que estamos vendo \u00e9 um enorme aumento na demanda em escala global por glufosinato\u201d, Sam Knott, Diretor da US Central Crops para o player de gen\u00e9ricos <a href=\"https:\/\/atticusllc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00c1tico<\/a> LLC disse <em>Agroneg\u00f3cio Global<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cQuando pa\u00edses como a China come\u00e7aram a eliminar o paraquate h\u00e1 v\u00e1rios anos e o M\u00e9xico come\u00e7ou a proibir o glifosato, a ind\u00fastria teve que recorrer a um herbicida de amplo espectro como <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agribusinessglobal.com\/pt\/?s=glufosinate\">glufosinato<\/a> que tem culturas tolerantes para preencher esse vazio.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Estimulados pela r\u00e1pida ado\u00e7\u00e3o das caracter\u00edsticas habilitadas pelo glufosinato, agravadas pela dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o da resist\u00eancia ao glifosato, especialistas da ind\u00fastria acreditam que entre 50% e 70% de toda a soja plantada nos EUA em 2021 conferir\u00e3o toler\u00e2ncia ao glufosinato. De acordo com Knott, a ind\u00fastria est\u00e1 em uma lacuna de curto prazo entre oferta restrita e demanda disparada, mas essa oferta adicional deve entrar em opera\u00e7\u00e3o em meados de 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEstamos ouvindo que alguns dos fornecedores gen\u00e9ricos aqui nos EUA que normalmente compram produtos da China est\u00e3o tendo dificuldades para obter fornecimento, e parte disso \u00e9 que grande parte da produ\u00e7\u00e3o (de glufosinato) que costumava vir para os EUA na China est\u00e1 sendo usada para suas pr\u00f3prias necessidades, ent\u00e3o muito menos est\u00e1 sendo exportado para fora da China\u201d, Tom Mudd, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upl-ltd.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UPL<\/a> O gerente de marketing de herbicidas para milho e soja disse em entrevista \u00e0 <em>Agroneg\u00f3cio Global<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Como Enlist E3 com tra\u00e7o de glufosinato (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.corteva.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Corteva Agriscience<\/a>), XtendFlex (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bayer.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bayer<\/a>) e LibertyLink GT27 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.basf.com\/global\/en\/topics\/report-2020.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BASF<\/a>) a soja converge no mercado este ano, Mudd espera que o ingrediente ativo tome participa\u00e7\u00e3o de mercado do dicamba e do glifosato este ano.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cO canal vai ter muita press\u00e3o, porque muito dicamba n\u00e3o chegou ao solo no ano passado e, portanto, h\u00e1 press\u00e3o para que esses gal\u00f5es sejam aplicados em 2021\u201d, disse Brian Ahrens, chefe de vendas da UPL nos EUA. \u201cVoc\u00ea tamb\u00e9m tem o aumento nos acres de soja e os pre\u00e7os das commodities subindo com o pre\u00e7o dos feij\u00f5es em $13 para $14.\u201d Ele observou que a demanda \u00e9 robusta n\u00e3o apenas para glufosinato, mas tamb\u00e9m para outros herbicidas na m\u00e9trica de soja, incluindo metribuzina, S-metolacholor e sulfentrazona.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e3o \u00e9 somente o acre de OGM que impulsiona a demanda por glufosinato, ele observou, mas tamb\u00e9m mercados especializados como a Calif\u00f3rnia, onde exig\u00eancias regulat\u00f3rias mais r\u00edgidas e proibi\u00e7\u00f5es est\u00e3o se tornando cada vez mais comuns. Atender \u00e0s expectativas, em termos de ser um fornecedor confi\u00e1vel para ambas as suas marcas \u2014 ela tamb\u00e9m fabrica seu glufosinato da marca Lifeline para o mercado especializado naquele estado \u2014 pode ser um ato de equil\u00edbrio.<\/p>\n<p>A UPL tem contado principalmente com suas instala\u00e7\u00f5es na \u00cdndia, onde h\u00e1 cerca de sete anos come\u00e7ou a duplicar plantas de glufosinato em antecipa\u00e7\u00e3o ao atual cen\u00e1rio de oferta e demanda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNossa lideran\u00e7a, at\u00e9 (o CEO) Jai Shroff viu isso muitos anos atr\u00e1s. \u00c9 por isso que, em vez de depender de intermedi\u00e1rios vindos da China, eles decidiram come\u00e7ar a fabricar muitos desses intermedi\u00e1rios essenciais eles mesmos\u201d, explicou Ahrens. \u201cEles viram a escrita na parede com o fornecimento chin\u00eas de, &#039;custo confi\u00e1vel e \u00f3timo&#039; um ano, mas no ano seguinte (nem tanto). Essa \u00e9 a vantagem competitiva que temos.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Empurr\u00e3o da BASF<\/h2>\n<p>Peter Weinert, vice-presidente de marketing estrat\u00e9gico global da BASF, herbicidas, falou com <em>Agroneg\u00f3cio Global<\/em> sobre a abordagem da empresa ao ativo \u2014 afinal, a BASF se tornou a maior empresa de glufosinato com a aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o do sistema LibertyLink da Bayer Cropscience em 2017.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDesde que nos tornamos donos da mol\u00e9cula, come\u00e7amos a investir em pesquisa e desenvolvimento em torno do glufosinato, para chegar a formula\u00e7\u00f5es melhoradas combinando diferentes modos de a\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d, disse Weinert, que fez parte da equipe que montou o acordo para o sistema Liberty. \u201cDevemos ver alguns dos primeiros resultados disso no mercado nos pr\u00f3ximos dois anos.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Essas novas inova\u00e7\u00f5es \u00e0s quais Weinert se referiu centram-se, em parte, na estrat\u00e9gia da empresa de setembro de 2020. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agribusinessglobal.com\/pt\/agrochemicals\/herbicides\/basf-acquires-technology-for-l-glufosinate-ammonium-from-agrimetis\/\">aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o da tecnologia Glu-L para L-glufosinato de am\u00f4nio<\/a> de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agrimetis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AgriMetis<\/a>, em uma tentativa de oferecer um produto mais eficiente. Embora o controle de ervas daninhas esteja pelo menos no mesmo n\u00edvel dos produtos comerciais de glufosinato dispon\u00edveis atualmente, os agricultores podem reduzir a quantidade de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivo que precisam aplicar em at\u00e9 50% com Glu-L. A mudan\u00e7a reduz significativamente os custos operacionais para os agricultores e para o canal e torna a distribui\u00e7\u00e3o e a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o do produto ainda mais sustent\u00e1veis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cO que vimos nos \u00faltimos anos \u00e9 uma atratividade crescente do glufosinato em escala global, ent\u00e3o temos muito mais participantes entrando no mercado, o que \u00e9 \u00f3timo, se voc\u00ea tem concorr\u00eancia\u201d, acrescentou Weinert. \u201cDo lado da BASF, isso \u00e9 exatamente o que est\u00e1vamos antecipando, e \u00e9 por isso que tamb\u00e9m estamos tentando agregar mais valor para os produtores. Acreditamos que, no final do dia, precisamos ter as melhores solu\u00e7\u00f5es para o produtor da forma mais sustent\u00e1vel poss\u00edvel para que ele possa trabalhar em dire\u00e7\u00e3o a uma pr\u00e1tica de cultivo sem plantio direto. O glufosinato desempenhar\u00e1 um papel importante para a BASF em toda essa \u00e1rea de sustentabilidade.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>O Glu-L est\u00e1 atualmente em processo de registro nos EUA e ser\u00e1 lan\u00e7ado l\u00e1 nos pr\u00f3ximos anos, com registro em outras regi\u00f5es relevantes a seguir.<\/p>\n<h2>O uso excessivo \u00e9 um vento contr\u00e1rio<\/h2>\n<p>Weinert disse que na \u00c1sia, substituir o paraquat por burndown \u00e9 um dos principais impulsionadores da demanda por glufosinato daqui para frente, e a Am\u00e9rica do Sul reflete uma din\u00e2mica semelhante. Na Am\u00e9rica do Norte, a resist\u00eancia de ervas daninhas ao glufosinato ou Liberty n\u00e3o surgiu de forma significativa \u2014 pelo menos ainda n\u00e3o. \u201cComo ind\u00fastria, aprendemos muito nos \u00faltimos 10 a 15 anos. Sempre precisa ser uma abordagem de solu\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d, disse ele.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cO uso excessivo \u00e9 um vento contr\u00e1rio\u201d, como Bob Trogele, Diretor de Opera\u00e7\u00f5es da <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amvac.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AVAC-AM<\/a> coloque. \u201c\u00c9 um \u00f3timo produto tecnicamente. Mas quanto mais voc\u00ea usa herbicidas n\u00e3o seletivos, (mais) voc\u00ea quer proteger isso.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A AMVAC viu a oportunidade no mercado mal atendido \u2014 pr\u00e9-misturas como gerenciadores de resist\u00eancia \u2014 e este ano lan\u00e7ar\u00e1 o Sinate, uma pr\u00e9-mistura de topramezone e glufosinato-am\u00f4nio para milho. Os dois modos de a\u00e7\u00e3o eficazes podem ajudar a enfrentar a resistente waterhemp, o palmer amaranth e a gigante ragweed que se espalham pelo US Corn Belt, ao mesmo tempo em que diminuem as chances de as ervas daninhas se tornarem resistentes ao composto. Lan\u00e7amentos em outras regi\u00f5es, incluindo Brasil e Argentina, devem ocorrer em seguida.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEste \u00e9 um produto em que nossa equipe sentiu que estava no caminho certo com o qu\u00e3o diferente ele \u00e9\u201d, explicou Nathaniel Quinn, gerente de marketing de milho, soja e beterraba da AMVAC. \u201cH\u00e1 uma exclusividade na formula\u00e7\u00e3o e h\u00e1 uma exclusividade na maneira como olhamos para o mercado. A AMVAC est\u00e1 procurando atender o mercado \u2014 n\u00e3o estamos necessariamente tentando estar em cada acre, mas em acres onde podemos fornecer valor\u201d, disse ele, continuando, \u201cPodemos atender uma \u00e1rea ou geografia um pouco melhor do que se estiv\u00e9ssemos tentando estar em todos os acres.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Quinn observou que a AMVAC tem v\u00e1rios produtos
