Michael e Renee McPherson (centro), propriet\u00e1rios da fazenda familiar McPherson Farms no centro da Carolina do Norte, cultivam 350 acres de soja, 320 acres de milho e 120 acres de trigo.<\/p><\/div>\n

Como agricultores, precisamos ser sempre otimistas. Esses pre\u00e7os altos nos pressionaram ainda mais a fazer o melhor poss\u00edvel para cultivar nossas planta\u00e7\u00f5es com mais efici\u00eancia. Os custos dos insumos dobraram ou triplicaram, e os pre\u00e7os das nossas commodities aumentaram \u2014 mas n\u00e3o na mesma propor\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Estamos entrando na temporada de plantio de 2022 otimistas e, com o clima e as condi\u00e7\u00f5es de cultivo, n\u00f3s, como agricultores, fazemos tudo o que podemos para garantir uma boa produ\u00e7\u00e3o, para superar os altos pre\u00e7os dos insumos.<\/p>\n

Sempre tivemos um \u00f3timo relacionamento com nossas cooperativas e fornecedores. Acredito que nossos fornecedores est\u00e3o t\u00e3o preocupados quanto n\u00f3s em n\u00e3o conseguir cuidar de seus agricultores. Com a crescente preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o com o fornecimento, fomos proativos desde o in\u00edcio, comprando e tomando posse de alguns de nossos insumos do nosso principal fornecedor. Nem sempre consegu\u00edamos obter o produto exato que quer\u00edamos, mas um substituto compar\u00e1vel era oferecido. Tamb\u00e9m foi um momento dif\u00edcil para nossos fornecedores, que tiveram que informar a alguns de seus clientes que n\u00e3o conseguiam atender plenamente \u00e0s suas necessidades exatas.<\/p>\n

Tamb\u00e9m fizemos mais pesquisas para encontrar melhores ofertas e garantimos que t\u00ednhamos um plano B, caso nossos fornecedores atuais n\u00e3o pudessem fornecer os insumos de que precis\u00e1vamos.<\/p>\n

Em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 guerra, os pre\u00e7os dos fertilizantes j\u00e1 estavam subindo antes mesmo de sabermos dos problemas com a R\u00fassia e a Ucr\u00e2nia. Quando os pre\u00e7os come\u00e7aram a subir, fomos informados de que era um problema na cadeia de suprimentos decorrente da COVID-19, mas quando a guerra come\u00e7ou, os pre\u00e7os subiram ainda mais. Por outro lado, a guerra parece ter um efeito flutuante nos pre\u00e7os das nossas commodities. N\u00f3s, agricultores, devemos ser proativos para monitorar a movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o dos pre\u00e7os e vender no momento certo para termos uma chance de evitar o preju\u00edzo.<\/p>\n

Na Carolina do Norte, temos uma grande demanda por milho para ra\u00e7\u00e3o animal, portanto, atualmente n\u00e3o planejamos alterar nossos planos de rota\u00e7\u00e3o de culturas. Ela permanecer\u00e1 a mesma dos anos anteriores.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
