Essa foi a mensagem do professor Franck Dayan da Universidade Estadual do Colorado, que fez um discurso sobre as perspectivas atuais e futuras na descoberta de herbicidas na Confer\u00eancia Australiana de Agronomia realizada em Toowoomba esta semana.<\/p>\n<p>O professor Dayan disse que a consolida\u00e7\u00e3o de empresas na ind\u00fastria qu\u00edmica agr\u00edcola, juntamente com um foco no desenvolvimento de culturas resistentes ao glifosato, fez pouco para refor\u00e7ar o arsenal do produtor contra ervas daninhas. &quot;Muito poucos novos modos de a\u00e7\u00e3o est\u00e3o surgindo, mas nem tudo s\u00e3o m\u00e1s not\u00edcias&quot;, disse o professor Dayan.<\/p>\n<p>Entre os motivos de esperan\u00e7a est\u00e3o a capacidade das empresas qu\u00edmicas tradicionais e dos inovadores de transformar a qu\u00edmica antiga e nova em novos modos de a\u00e7\u00e3o, e o uso da inova\u00e7\u00e3o vinda de start-ups.<\/p>\n<p>O professor Dayan n\u00e3o v\u00ea raz\u00e3o para o glifosato sair dos sistemas agr\u00edcolas, mas disse que a falta de inova\u00e7\u00e3o causada por ele ser um herbicida t\u00e3o bem-sucedido \u00e9 preocupante. \u201cEnt\u00e3o as coisas param e as coisas d\u00e3o errado e ent\u00e3o temos esses problemas de resist\u00eancia a herbicidas acontecendo porque temos apenas um n\u00famero limitado de tipos de herbicidas\u201d, disse ele.<\/p>\n<p>Ele disse que a redu\u00e7\u00e3o no n\u00famero de equipes de P&amp;D trabalhando na ind\u00fastria em geral contribuiu para a queda no n\u00famero de novos modos de a\u00e7\u00e3o patenteados at\u00e9
