Ao explorar varia\u00e7\u00f5es gen\u00e9ticas naturais para obter gen\u00f3tipos tolerantes \u00e0 seca e ao desenvolver bioestimulantes vegetais derivados de organismos vivos, o BOOSTER aproveitar\u00e1 os recursos naturais dispon\u00edveis para desenvolver novas variedades de culturas agr\u00edcolas tolerantes \u00e0 seca. O projeto de \u20ac 4,9 milh\u00f5es \u00e9 financiado pelo programa-quadro Horizon Europe da Comiss\u00e3o Europeia e ter\u00e1 dura\u00e7\u00e3o de 4 anos.<\/p>\n<p>Duas estrat\u00e9gias sin\u00e9rgicas ser\u00e3o implementadas para atingir esse objetivo. Primeiramente, uma nova abordagem identificar\u00e1 variantes gen\u00f4micas em regi\u00f5es regulat\u00f3rias funcionalmente associadas \u00e0 toler\u00e2ncia \u00e0 seca. Novos elementos regulat\u00f3rios subjacentes \u00e0 resili\u00eancia informar\u00e3o esfor\u00e7os de melhoramento eficientes para criar novas variedades de cereais tolerantes \u00e0 seca.<\/p>\n<p>Em segundo lugar, a BioAtlantis Ltd. (Irlanda) desenvolver\u00e1 novas tecnologias de &quot;Prepara\u00e7\u00e3o Molecular&quot; a partir de algas marinhas e bioestimulantes de origem microbiana. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aphea.bio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aphea.Bio<\/a> (B\u00e9lgica) respectivamente, como uma abordagem ecologicamente correta para melhorar a resili\u00eancia \u00e0 seca. As duas estrat\u00e9gias ser\u00e3o testadas em dois cereais com diferentes graus de resposta \u00e0 seca: milho europeu e teff et\u00edope \u2013 um cereal com alta similaridade gen\u00e9tica com a esp\u00e9cie irm\u00e3 tolerante \u00e0 desseca\u00e7\u00e3o <em>Eragrostis<\/em> <em>nindensis<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>O cons\u00f3rcio BOOSTER compreende uma equipe altamente qualificada representada por acad\u00eamicos e ind\u00fastrias europeias e internacionais (EUA, \u00c1frica do Sul, Eti\u00f3pia) para garantir coletivamente que os impactos esperados sejam alcan\u00e7ados em um futuro pr\u00f3ximo.
