A MAATF acredita que os usos de ars\u00eanicos org\u00e2nicos em planta\u00e7\u00f5es e gramados atendem tanto ao padr\u00e3o de risco-benef\u00edcio da FIFRA quanto ao padr\u00e3o de seguran\u00e7a da FQPA. O Office of Pesticide Program exige que o ars\u00eanico encontrado em \u00e1guas superficiais devido ao uso de ars\u00eanicos org\u00e2nicos n\u00e3o exceda 0,02 ppb. Essa concentra\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 indetect\u00e1vel e 500 vezes menor do que os n\u00edveis de ars\u00eanico permitidos pela EPA em \u00e1gua pot\u00e1vel, e mais de 10.000 vezes menor do que os n\u00edveis naturais na \u00e1gua em certas \u00e1reas nos EUA.
