A evolu\u00e7\u00e3o da resist\u00eancia a herbicidas em muitas esp\u00e9cies de plantas daninhas representa hoje uma amea\u00e7a s\u00e9ria e crescente para muitos agricultores em todo o mundo, limitando a produtividade e \u2013 em casos extremos \u2013 destruindo o valor da terra. A inova\u00e7\u00e3o em tecnologias de herbicidas ressurgiu em import\u00e2ncia e urg\u00eancia, refletindo o valor dessas tecnologias no controle de plantas daninhas e na melhoria da sustentabilidade das opera\u00e7\u00f5es agr\u00edcolas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.syngenta.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Syngenta<\/a>A , l\u00edder global em inova\u00e7\u00e3o agr\u00edcola, anunciou hoje que sua mais recente solu\u00e7\u00e3o para controle de plantas daninhas, a metproxibiciclona, foi reconhecida em uma nova subclasse qu\u00edmica de herbicidas. A decis\u00e3o, tomada pelo Comit\u00ea de A\u00e7\u00e3o para Resist\u00eancia a Herbicidas (HRAC) e pela Sociedade Americana de Ci\u00eancia de Plantas Daninhas (WSSA), reflete a distin\u00e7\u00e3o da metproxibiciclona como a quarta gera\u00e7\u00e3o de inibidores de ACCase, uma importante classe de herbicidas. A terceira gera\u00e7\u00e3o de inibidores de ACCase, representada pela mol\u00e9cula l\u00edder da Syngenta, o pinoxadene, foi lan\u00e7ada em 2006; a lacuna de quase duas d\u00e9cadas na inova\u00e7\u00e3o da subclasse de ACCase reflete, em parte, os desafios extremos na busca de solu\u00e7\u00f5es novas, eficazes e seguras.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA resist\u00eancia a herbicidas foi oficialmente relatada em 75 pa\u00edses e afeta agricultores de mais de 100 culturas; das 273 esp\u00e9cies de plantas daninhas afetadas, 40% s\u00e3o gram\u00edneas\u201d, disse Camilla Corsi, Diretora Global de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento da Syngenta. \u201cNa Syngenta, expandimos os limites da ci\u00eancia da prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos para oferecer as solu\u00e7\u00f5es que os agricultores precisam. Anos atr\u00e1s, nossos cientistas previram que certas plantas daninhas na Argentina e no Brasil provavelmente desenvolveriam resist\u00eancia aos herbicidas existentes e, desde ent\u00e3o, corremos para trazer uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o ao mercado \u2013 a tempo de apoiar os produtores de soja e algod\u00e3o que agora enfrentam esse desafio.\u201d Sujeito \u00e0s aprova\u00e7\u00f5es regulat\u00f3rias, o novo herbicida est\u00e1 previsto para ser introduzido na Argentina em 2026.<\/p>\n<p>O novo herbicida foi inventado no Centro Internacional de Pesquisa da Syngenta em Jealott&#039;s Hill, Reino Unido. Aproveitando a vasta experi\u00eancia da Syngenta em inibidores de ACCase e modelagem computacional de \u00faltima gera\u00e7\u00e3o, os cientistas projetaram com precis\u00e3o uma nova subclasse de herbicida capaz de controlar ervas daninhas que desenvolveram resist\u00eancia a herbicidas como glifosato e cletodim, otimizando o perfil de sustentabilidade da mol\u00e9cula.
