Cada vez mais, esse caminho parece ser constru\u00eddo n\u00e3o com base em ativos de commodities, mas em novas mol\u00e9culas e compostos com patentes quase expiradas que podem oferecer uma vantagem competitiva em mercados globais saturados.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDepender apenas de vendas B2B para multinacionais n\u00e3o \u00e9 mais uma estrat\u00e9gia de crescimento vi\u00e1vel\u201d, diz David Li, Diretor de Marketing da SPM Biosciences e redator colaborador do <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agribusinessglobal.com\/pt\/tag\/china-price-index\/\">\u00cdndice de pre\u00e7os da China<\/a>. \u201cOs fornecedores chineses devem repensar seu papel no mercado e investir mais estrategicamente em ativos de produtos.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Repensando o relacionamento com as multinacionais<\/h2>\n<p>Historicamente, a ind\u00fastria de pesticidas da China prosperou como o motor de fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o por tr\u00e1s de corpora\u00e7\u00f5es multinacionais (EMNs), produzindo ingredientes ativos e intermedi\u00e1rios para produtos de marca vendidos em mercados globais. Mas essa din\u00e2mica est\u00e1 sob press\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs empresas chinesas que permanecem ancoradas na demanda das multinacionais est\u00e3o enfrentando retornos decrescentes\u201d, afirma Li. \u201cMesmo as empresas que executam modelos B2B bem gerenciados n\u00e3o est\u00e3o conseguindo entregar retornos superiores sobre os ativos durante a atual crise do setor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>O problema, argumenta ele, \u00e9 estrutural. As multinacionais est\u00e3o sob intensa press\u00e3o para reduzir os custos de aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o. Nesse ambiente, os fornecedores chineses est\u00e3o sendo solicitados a reduzir as margens sem receber em troca compromissos de volume de longo prazo \u2014 uma compensa\u00e7\u00e3o insustent\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA menos que as multinacionais concordem com garantias de aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o de longo prazo\u201d, explica Li, \u201cos fornecedores chineses buscar\u00e3o cada vez mais diversificar suas estrat\u00e9gias e buscar oportunidades de margens mais altas em outros lugares\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2>A corrida por compostos p\u00f3s-patentes<\/h2>\n<p>Uma dessas oportunidades \u00e9 investir em novas mol\u00e9culas ou compostos com patentes prestes a expirar. \u00c0 medida que as patentes de ativos de sucesso expiram, os produtores chineses est\u00e3o rapidamente aumentando a capacidade de produ\u00e7\u00e3o, na esperan\u00e7a de conquistar participa\u00e7\u00e3o no mercado global.<\/p>\n<p>Mas isso tamb\u00e9m apresenta riscos.<\/p>\n<p>Veja o caso dos fungicidas SDHI, como saflufenacil e piroxasulfona \u2014 dois ativos com patentes pr\u00f3ximas ao vencimento e monitorados de perto pela ind\u00fastria. De acordo com dados da Kynetec, a demanda global por esses compostos permanece relativamente limitada. No entanto, a &quot;capacidade de produ\u00e7\u00e3o&quot; dos produtores chineses \u2014 produ\u00e7\u00e3o planejada ou proposta \u2014 j\u00e1 superou em muito a demanda real em campo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u00c9 uma armadilha cl\u00e1ssica de excesso de capacidade\u201d, diz Li. \u201cTodos veem a mesma oportunidade, mas nem todos entendem o longo prazo necess\u00e1rio para transformar capacidade em receita sustent\u00e1vel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Esse &quot;jogo longo&quot; inclui mais do que apenas a fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o t\u00e9cnica. Para competir globalmente, as empresas chinesas tamb\u00e9m precisam navegar por estudos toxicol\u00f3gicos, dados de metab\u00f3litos, revis\u00f5es regulat\u00f3rias e processos de registro em mercados-chave.<\/p>\n<h2>Construindo ativos de produtos, n\u00e3o apenas produtos<\/h2>\n<p>Li argumenta que a mudan\u00e7a em dire\u00e7\u00e3o a novas mol\u00e9culas n\u00e3o se trata apenas de vender ativos \u2014 trata-se de criar ativos de produtos que agreguem valor durante todo o seu ciclo de vida.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEm mercados maduros, como o de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos, a gest\u00e3o do ciclo de vida do produto \u00e9 fundamental\u201d, afirma. \u201cNovas mol\u00e9culas devem ser posicionadas estrategicamente \u2014 n\u00e3o apenas fabricadas a baixo custo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A capacidade de atrasar a transi\u00e7\u00e3o de um produto para sua fase de cauda longa ou de implementar estrat\u00e9gias defensivas de formula\u00e7\u00e3o e pre\u00e7os \u00e9 o que diferencia ativos de produtos de alto valor de meras commodities.<\/p>\n<p>Mas \u00e9 aqui que os fornecedores chineses muitas vezes falham.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMuitas empresas param na produ\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d, diz Li. \u201cElas n\u00e3o investem em formula\u00e7\u00f5es diferenciadas, dados de registro globais ou suporte agron\u00f4mico local. \u00c9 a\u00ed que o verdadeiro valor de mercado \u00e9 criado.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Olhando para a frente<\/h2>\n<p>Embora as reformas pol\u00edticas anti-involu\u00e7\u00e3o da China estejam ajudando a conter a competi\u00e7\u00e3o descontrolada de pre\u00e7os e incentivando a consolida\u00e7\u00e3o da ind\u00fastria, elas n\u00e3o conseguem resolver o vazio estrat\u00e9gico enfrentado por muitas empresas agroqu\u00edmicas. A corrida para dominar o cen\u00e1rio p\u00f3s-patente ser\u00e1 decidida n\u00e3o apenas por quem consegue fabricar em escala, mas por quem consegue criar e defender o valor do produto.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVencer no pr\u00f3ximo ciclo exigir\u00e1 uma mudan\u00e7a de mentalidade\u201d, conclui Li. \u201cN\u00e3o apenas de fabricante para profissional de marketing, mas de tomador de pre\u00e7os para criador de valor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Com a demanda global prevista para se recuperar gradualmente at\u00e9 2026, as empresas que conseguirem navegar com sucesso na transi\u00e7\u00e3o de fornecedoras de gen\u00e9ricos para inovadoras estrat\u00e9gicas podem finalmente escapar da rotina de baixa margem que h\u00e1 muito tempo define o setor de pesticidas da
