Gana Minist\u00e9rio da Alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o e Agricultura<\/a> (MOFA), juntamente com Associa\u00e7\u00e3o de Comerciantes de Insumos Agr\u00edcolas de Gana<\/a> (GADA) descartar\u00e1 71 toneladas de pesticidas obsoletos. Os pesticidas proibidos, principalmente Aldrin e Monocrotophos, foram encontrados contendo altos n\u00edveis de produtos qu\u00edmicos t\u00f3xicos perigosos para os seres humanos e tamb\u00e9m s\u00e3o uma amea\u00e7a \u00e0 seguran\u00e7a alimentar no pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

A maioria dos estoques foi descoberta durante um estudo da Ag\u00eancia de Prote\u00e7\u00e3o Ambiental (Ag\u00eancia de Prote\u00e7\u00e3o Ambiental (EPA)<\/a>) nos armaz\u00e9ns do Ghana Cocoa Board em Anyinam, na Benso Oil Palm Plantation e na Twifo Oil Palm Plantation.<\/p>\n

Clement Eledi, Vice-Ministro de Alimentos e Agricultura, disse que os estudos revelaram uma quantidade tremenda de estoques com impacto negativo na agricultura do pa\u00eds.
