A ind\u00fastria de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos na \u00cdndia evoluiu drasticamente na \u00faltima d\u00e9cada, impulsionada por mudan\u00e7as nas pr\u00e1ticas agr\u00edcolas, aumento dos custos de m\u00e3o de obra e a busca por solu\u00e7\u00f5es mais sustent\u00e1veis. Segundo Agarwal, \u201cOs agricultores est\u00e3o migrando para solu\u00e7\u00f5es integradas de controle de pragas, combinando produtos qu\u00edmicos e biol\u00f3gicos. N\u00e3o \u00e9 que as vendas de produtos qu\u00edmicos estejam diminuindo, mas sim que os agricultores est\u00e3o usando uma combina\u00e7\u00e3o de ambos.\u201d<\/p>\n

Essa mudan\u00e7a reflete uma \u00eanfase crescente em estrat\u00e9gias equilibradas de manejo de pragas, \u00e0 medida que os produtores buscam reduzir o impacto ambiental sem comprometer a produtividade.
