Por ser uma mat\u00e9ria-prima abundante, biodegrad\u00e1vel e fonte de energia renov\u00e1vel, especialmente na forma de farelo e \u00f3leo vegetal, novos e importantes usos industriais surgir\u00e3o\u201d, afirmou Panizzi em artigo na Ag\u00eancia \u00c1rabe-Brasileira de Not\u00edcias (Abra\u00e3o).ANBA<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Esta previs\u00e3o ganhou for\u00e7a ap\u00f3s o semin\u00e1rio internacional, Recursos de soja para processos industriais n\u00e3o alimentares<\/em>, que a Embrapa Soja promoveu no Rio de Janeiro em abril. Bases para carpetes, produtos de limpeza, pl\u00e1sticos, espumas, adesivos, tintas, lubrificantes, solventes e removedores s\u00e3o alguns dos produtos em que a soja vem competindo efetivamente com os petroqu\u00edmicos em diversos mercados. \u201cA versatilidade da soja \u00e9 conhecida desde 1900, quando Henry Ford e Washington Carver apresentaram diversos usos para o gr\u00e3o. No entanto, na \u00e9poca, a entrada de derivados de petr\u00f3leo de baixo custo praticamente inibiu sua expans\u00e3o. Hoje, com os altos pre\u00e7os do petr\u00f3leo e o crescimento das preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es com o aquecimento global, a soja voltou a ser uma op\u00e7\u00e3o para a ind\u00fastria\u201d, disse Panizzi.<\/p>\n

Novas aplica\u00e7\u00f5es para a palha de soja tamb\u00e9m devem ganhar mercado nos pr\u00f3ximos anos. Madeira compensada, arm\u00e1rios de pia e cola para madeira j\u00e1 est\u00e3o sendo produzidos a partir da palha. A soja tamb\u00e9m tem sido mat\u00e9ria-prima para a ind\u00fastria de lubrificantes. Os EUA utilizam a soja em diversos tipos de combust\u00edveis hidr\u00e1ulicos, como fluido para elevadores, bombas estacion\u00e1rias e tratores. H\u00e1 tamb\u00e9m produtos utilizados na metalurgia e na lubrifica\u00e7\u00e3o de moldes utilizados em fundi\u00e7\u00e3o de metais, lubrifica\u00e7\u00e3o de f\u00f4rmas para concreto e lubrifica\u00e7\u00e3o de pasta asf\u00e1ltica.<\/p>\n
