Pr\u00e1ticas de produ\u00e7\u00e3o aprimoradas e pre\u00e7os internacionais s\u00f3lidos devem impulsionar o aumento. Esses fatores provavelmente continuar\u00e3o nos pr\u00f3ximos anos.<\/p>\n<p class=\"subhead\">Estrutura da ind\u00fastria<\/p>\n<p>O caf\u00e9 no Peru \u00e9 cultivado principalmente por opera\u00e7\u00f5es de produtores muito pequenos; um produtor m\u00e9dio tem de 2 a 3 hectares (Ha) em produ\u00e7\u00e3o, e a maioria est\u00e1 agrupada em associa\u00e7\u00f5es ou cooperativas que lhes permitem negociar pre\u00e7os e melhorar o manejo p\u00f3s-colheita. As associa\u00e7\u00f5es maiores t\u00eam at\u00e9 2.000 membros e mais de 7.000 Ha sob gest\u00e3o, e as mais sofisticadas t\u00eam filiais financeiras que fornecem fundos aos produtores para aumentar ou melhorar sua colheita.<\/p>\n<p>Os rendimentos m\u00e9dios giram em torno de 750 quilos por Ha, mas chegam a 2.300 quilos por Ha entre os produtores mais eficientes. Os baixos rendimentos s\u00e3o tipicamente devidos a pr\u00e1ticas de cultivo ruins. Devido aos custos envolvidos, a substitui\u00e7\u00e3o de plantas e a fertiliza\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00e3o raras entre os cafeicultores. O custo m\u00e9dio de produ\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 de cerca de US$ $62 por Ha, dos quais cerca de 80% \u00e9 m\u00e3o de obra.<\/p>\n<p>O caf\u00e9 \u00e9 cultivado em todas as encostas orientais dos Andes, mas est\u00e1 concentrado em tr\u00eas \u00e1reas principais de cultivo. A \u00e1rea mais importante em termos de volume e qualidade \u00e9 a encosta central oriental dos Andes em Chanchamayo com 30% da produ\u00e7\u00e3o do Peru.
