New Appointments For Monsanto Canola and Crop Protection

Cory McArthur has been appointed marketing director for canola and crop protection, replacing Norm Sissons who was recently appointed to the position of global product manager within Monsanto’s Seminis vegetable business. In this role, McArthur will provide business leadership to the west technology development team, as well as provide marketing direction for the company’s crop protection and canola businesses in Canada. He will also assume a position on Monsanto’s Canadian Leadership Team, comprised of key personnel responsible for each of Monsanto’s core business and enabling team functions.

Jennifer Bailes takes on the chemistry business manager role, replacing Cory McArthur. In this role, Jennifer will be responsible for managing Monsanto’s chemistry business which markets the industry leading glyphosate brand, Roundup(R), to growers across Canada.

Neil Arbuckle has moved into the newly created role of canola business development lead. In this role, he is leading the development and implementation of the commercial launch plan for Roundup Ready 2 Yield canola. He is also focusing on long-term strategic canola investments and partnerships and developing networks with key internal and external stakeholders to maximize the effectiveness of Monsanto’s canola investments.

Cornie Thiessen is now in the role of DEKALB business manager for Western Canada replacing Neil Arbuckle. In this role, Thiessen is responsible for managing Monsanto’s branded seed business which markets quality certified canola, corn and soybean seed to growers under the DEKALB brand name.
