In a long-awaited move, Brazilian Agriculture Minister Katia Abreu announced the country will unveil a plan on May 6 that will revamp the country’s bureaucracy-mired regulatory framework.

“This plan is a major breakthrough in agricultural defense of the country. Our goal is to signal to our customers in Brazil, first, and also the rest of the world that we have commitment to health issues,” Abreu said during a press conference earlier this week.
同样在 5 月 6 日，Abreu 将推出巴西系统检验 (Sisbi) 工具的新规定，该工具将分散联邦检验服务并扩大家庭农产品的农业工业化。
“This regulation has been expected since 2006 and represents a real possibility of increasing the income of small farmers and the expansion of the rural middle class goal we have pursued,” Abreu said.
