孟山都和 Amvac 就 Impact 除草剂达成协议

孟山都 公司和 Amvac化学公司, a subsidiary of American Vanguard Corp. came to an agreement that broadens Monsanto’s Roundup Ready PLUS weed management platform in the United States to include Amvac’s Impact herbicide beginning in the 2012 crop season, according to a press release.

Impact is the first postemergence herbicide for control of emerged broadleaf and grass weeds in corn to be added to the platform, according to Monsanto. Impact’s active ingredient, topramezone, is an HPPD inhibitor herbicide that provides an effective tool in weed resistance management.

Roundup Ready PLUS 平台旨在为农民提供有效、经济和可持续的杂草控制产品推荐。

This program will allow growers to preserve the moisture and nutrients in their soil that would otherwise be consumed by many of these hard-to-control/glyphosate-resistant broadleaf weeds.,” said Eric Wintemute, chairman & CEO of American Vanguard in a prepared statement. “This collaborative engagement provides Amvac with the opportunity for expanded sales of its high-performance Impact herbicide, provides Monsanto with even more effective and comprehensive herbicide control for its Roundup brand herbicides and most importantly, provides our mutual customers, the US corn grower, with the potential for maximum yield enhancement.”

Under the agreement, Monsanto will license its Roundup Ready PLUS trademarks for use on Impact and co-market Amvac’s post-emergent corn herbicide Impact as part of the Roundup Ready PLUS weed management program, according to the release.
