Pick brings nearly 20 years of Washington experience, including service with U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and senior USDA leadership during the first Trump administration. She served in the Office of Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue and later advised USDA General Counsel Stephen Vaden, now Deputy Secretary of Agriculture.<\/p>\n

Rachel Pick<\/p><\/div>\n

A fourth-generation Iowa corn and soybean farmer, Pick remains involved in her family\u2019s 2,500-acre farming operation.<\/p>\n

\u201cRachel brings relationships at the highest levels of government and firsthand knowledge of production agriculture,\u201d said Terry Kippley, CPDA President & CEO. \u201cShe understands how Washington works and what regulatory decisions mean for farmers and the businesses serving them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Most recently, Pick helped lead federal advocacy for AmericanHort on agricultural workforce policy, crop protection, the Farm Bill, and appropriations. During this time, she also chaired the Pesticide Policy Coalition\u2019s Legislative Subcommittee, working with approximately 40 grower organizations to preserve access to essential crop protection tools. Her experience supports CPDA\u2019s mission to protect growers\u2019 access to crop protection products, adjuvants, and inert ingredients. Pick previously held leadership positions with U.S. Farmers & Ranchers in Action.<\/p>\n

Pick succeeds Andrew Walmsley, who expanded CPDA\u2019s access and influence in Washington before joining CPDA member company Atticus.<\/p>\n
