BASF Launches AgCelence, Caramba In Brazil

AgCelence includes products that provide improved growth and tolerance to stress; the fungicides boscalid and pyraclostrobin; and the insecticide fipronil. Products for soybeans, sugarcane, and coffee, among other crops, will carry the brand name in the country.

The company also launched the fungicide, Caramba (metconazole), for use on soybeans, cotton, and peanuts. The fungicide gained registration earlier this year for the control of cotton rust (Phakopsora gossypii), leaf spot (Pseudocercospora personata), and grey mildew (Ramularia areola) on cotton as well as Asian soybean rust (Phakopsora pachyrhizi) and powdery mildew on soybeans and leaf spot on peanuts.
