BASF Appoints Vice President of Global Communications
Dr. Kristina Winzen has been appointed Vice President of Global Communications & Public Government Affairs for BASF’s Crop Protection division as of September 1, 2011, according to the company.
She succeeds Dr. Birgit Schneider who takes over as Vice President of the Crop Protection division’s Global R&D Project Management Office and Site Services for Limburgerhof, Germany, and Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
Kristina Winzen (42) studied social and economic history at the Universities of Bonn, Germany, and Durham, UK. She joined BASF in 1998 and held various positions in Corporate Communications Europe before transferring to BASF Antwerpen N.V. in 2004 on a project assignment, according to BASF. From 2007 to May 2011 she was head of Change Communications & Corporate History at BASF in Ludwigshafen. Currently she is working as a change management expert for the project “Employee Development.”
