Punjab Chemicals Acquires Sintesis Quimica

Sintesis Quimica, with more than 50 years in operation in South America, will add its strong research and development (R&D) capabilities, registrations, and product line to Punjab’s global business, says the company. Sintesis Quimica is in the business of agrochemical and bioagrochemical formulations, and possesses substantial registrations in Argentina, Latin American countries, the US, and Canada. It has an annual sales turnover of US $15 million, with 40% of its sales in exports.

Sintesis Quimica is the first acquisition of a non-Indian company by Punjab Chemicals, though the company says that there are more such deals in the pipeline.
