Erickson is the CEO and one of the co-founders of Hylio. Hylio is a Texas-based company that designs, manufactures, and offers autonomous UAS that precisely apply liquid and granular inputs to a wide variety of crops. Erickson received a degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. While working as a UAS researcher at UT, Erickson started Hylio in 2015 alongside fellow students. Erickson has led Hylio from their early days of prototyping and ideation through the present. Hylio’s systems are now owned and operated by hundreds of farmers and applicators in both the U.S. and abroad.

Dr. Steve Li

Li is an Extension Professor in College of Agriculture of Auburn University, based in Auburn, Alabama. He is the team leader of the extension agronomic crop team of Auburn University. His research and extension program focuses on applied weed management in row crops, pesticide off-target movement, new application technology, utilizing drones to apply pesticides and precision application workflows, etc. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal papers, conference proceedings, technical sheets and extension guides. Dr. Li currently provides drone related research data, technical guidance, and education to agricultural drone operators from nearly every agricultural state in the US and from other countries.
