Futureco Bioscience Launches Biostimulant Sincronitza for Synchronized Bud Break and Flowering

Developed through Futureco Bioscience’s biotechnology expertise, Sincronitza® promotes the physiological synchronization of bud break and flowering in deciduous fruit crops. Its formulation, rich in specific amino acids, nitrogen, and calcium, reactivates key metabolic pathways essential for dormancy release, ensuring coordinated phenological development and high fruit quality under variable climatic conditions. With Sincronitza®, Futureco Bioscience expands its portfolio of precision biostimulants for high-value deciduous crops, providing distributors and growers a science-based alternative to conventional dormancy management tools.

Futureco Bioscience has announced the launch of Sincronitza®, a liquid biostimulant developed to synchronize phenological stages and improve uniformity in bud break and flowering in crops such as cherries, walnuts, and grapes. By aligning these stages, the product enhances the balance between flowering and vegetative growth, promotes uniform phenological progression, and enables growers to optimize labor, harvest scheduling, and overall orchard productivity.

Sincronitza® was developed in response to a growing challenge for fruit producers worldwide: mild winters and climate variability that disturb the natural timing of flowering. The product is particularly relevant in Mediterranean and South American regions, where reduced chill accumulation increasingly affects orchard uniformity and fruit quality. Under these conditions, plants often show asynchronous bud break and uneven flowering, creating management and harvest inefficiencies. To mitigate these effects, Futureco Bioscience’s R&D team designed Sincronitza® as a biotechnological tool that restores physiological precision and predictability in fruit production, helping growers recover uniform cycles and maintain productivity and quality under changing environmental conditions.

“Sincronitza® acts during one of the most decisive phases in deciduous fruit production: the transition from dormancy to active growth, where the uniformity of bud break greatly defines the potential of the season,” explains Francisca Villegas, Product Manager at Futureco Bioscience. “By promoting hormonal balance and reactivating key metabolic pathways, it supports a more uniform bud break and a synchronized flowering, improving crop management and harvest predictability.”

Science behind synchronization

The formula of Sincronitza® is based on amino acids obtained by bacterial fermentation and enzymatic hydrolysis, notably methionine and glutamic acid, combined with nitrogen and calcium. These components act synergistically to stimulate growth-promoting hormones, reduce inhibitory compounds accumulated during dormancy, and reactivate enzymatic and protein synthesis required for metabolic restart.

Unlike traditional dormancy-breaking products that depend on high nitrogen loads or aggressive chemicals, Sincronitza® works through metabolic reactivation and hormonal balance, enhancing the plant’s natural physiology for stress-free, coordinated development. This biotechnological mechanism triggers the activation of key enzymes and growth regulators that drive dormancy release and early organ differentiation.

By harmonizing floral and vegetative development, Sincronitza® ensures equilibrium between bud differentiation and leaf emergence—critical for consistent fruit set in cherry and other temperate orchards. The result is a predictable, homogeneous bud break, improved flowering synchrony, and superior fruit quality through efficient resource mobilization and sustained vegetative vigor.

Field relevance and application

Sincronitza® is applied via foliar spray approximately 35 days before bud break, coinciding with the physiological phase of dormancy release. This timing activates the plant’s internal metabolism before visible growth begins. The product is particularly effective in crops where flowering uniformity directly impacts pollination, labor efficiency, and marketable yield.

Recommended for established orchards over four years old, Sincronitza® is applied once per season under favorable temperature and humidity conditions to ensure optimal absorption. Field observations in cherry and peach orchards show accelerated and uniform bud opening compared with untreated trees, with no phytotoxicity or impact on floral integrity.

“In many production regions, insufficient winter chilling is becoming increasingly frequent,” notes María José Lis, Chief Commercial Officer at Futureco Bioscience. “By concentrating flowering and harvest periods, Sincronitza® helps reduce picking costs, optimize labor use, and simplify orchard logistics—ensuring more predictable and profitable operations.”

A sustainable alternative

Unlike conventional dormancy-breaking compounds, which may rely on caustic chemicals or excessive nitrogen, Sincronitza® offers a biodegradable, residue-free and environmentally safe alternative. Its formulation works with the plant’s metabolism, preserving soil health, operator safety, and beneficial microbial communities.

This approach fully aligns with Futureco Bioscience’s sustainability principles and its mission to deliver biotechnology-backed solutions that combine productivity, safety, and respect for the environment.
