Rovensa Next Launches Myndra Biostimulant to Elevate Fruit Quality in Woody Perennnials in EU

Rovensa Next, the global leader in biosolutions, announces the launch in Europe of Myndra, a new synergistic biostimulant designed to elevate fruit quality in all major woody perennial crops. Myndra is an Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed. Based formula featuring a targeted synergy of organic molecules with proven impact on quality traits. This next-generation formulation represents a significant leap forward in seaweed-based innovation and reinforces Rovensa Next’s commitment to delivering effective, sustainable solutions for growers.

Myndra, which also forms part of the crop strategies within Rovensa Next’s ongoing Biosolutionize Agriculture campaign, is a clear example of data-driven product development, delivering the strongest, most consistent results in fruit quality enhancement and yield performance during the tests conducted on several different prototypes, positioning it as the company’s most potent seaweed-based biostimulant to date.

A synergistic biostimulant for quality traits improvement

Sustainably harvested from pristine North Atlantic waters, Ascophyllum nodosum is one of the most thoroughly studied macroalgae in agriculture. Thanks to Rovensa Next’s gentle, chemical-free and cold extraction process, the extract retains its full spectrum of active ingredients, polyphenols, mannitol, polysaccharides, alginates, vitamins and pigments, preserving their biological activity and increasing the plant’s ability to regulate key physiological processes.

Myndra’s synergistic formulation acts as a key metabolic driver and a precursor of essential amino acids such as aspartic acid, arginine, glycine and proline. These molecules support cellular growth, reproductive metabolism and fruit development, creating a stronger biochemical foundation for improved quality and yield.

Proven improvements in fruit quality

Internal and field trials conducted on stone fruit, pome fruit, citrus, and table grapes demonstrated proven improvements in fruit quality. Results showed a 19% increase in firmness, a 10% rise in soluble sugar content, and a 19% gain in fruit weight and marketable yield. In addition, nutritional and functional attributes were significantly enhanced, with carotenoid levels increasing by 25%, flavonoid content by 56%, and antioxidant activity by 46%. Together, these outcomes highlight the substantial impact of biosolutions in elevating both the quality and market value of diverse fruit crops.
