About The Survey
30 June 2009 Farm Chemicals International magazine launched a state of the industry survey in an attempt to give readers a better understanding of the crop protection market. It is intended to be a biographical snapshot of companies and the business environment in which they operate.
Specifically, the inaugural FCI State of the Industry Survey was created to:
• Identify economic issues facing agrochemical suppliers and distributors
• Evaluate business relationships between the supply chain, producers, and distributors
• Determine personal and professional ambitions
• Create data sets that can be benchmarked with future years.
The survey was designed by FCI editors and broadcast to our e-mail subscriber base, and a link was also published on our Web site. Two reminders were sent during the four weeks the survey was open in April and May, and an incentive was offered to win one of three $50 Visa gift cards or $250 off our FCI Trade Summit registration.
The survey was taken by 127 respondents in more than 30 countries, giving the survey a margin of error of ±8.5% with a 95% confidence level.
