Accusure Ensures Consistent Seed Count in Roundup Ready 2 Yield Soybeans

Monsanto Company has announced that its Asgrow Brand will introduce the AccuSure Seed Count System for Roundup Ready 2 Yield soybean seed in both paper and mini-bulk bags, to be implemented for the 2009 planting season. This increased precision will benefit both growers and dealers, says Jeff Wheeler, Asgrow business lead. The Asgrow Brand AccuSure Seed Count System eliminates the variability of seed size, so each bag of Asgrow Brand Roundup Ready 2 Yield seed, regardless of variety, will provide the same number of soybean seeds. Farmers will receive a consistent 140,000 seeds in every bag, and 5.6 million seeds in each mini-bulk unit, even when the physical size of the bag may vary.
