Bayer CropScience Gives $7.5 million For Texas Tech Soil Center

MONHEIM, Germany — Bayer CropScience has contributed $7.5 million to the Texas Tech University Department of Plant and Soil Sciences, in Lubbock, Texas, US, according to a company press release. A full-funding match through the Texas Research Incentive Program — which matches 100% of contributions and endowments between $2 million and $10 million — makes the total contribution to the university $15 million. Of that total, $5 million will go towards the building of a Plant and Soil
Sciences building, and the remaining $10 million will support a research collaboration between Bayer CropScience and Texas Tech.
