Bayer Q3 Net Falls 76.4% On Tax Benefit

This year’s third-quarter numbers are comparatively lower due to a one-time tax benefit of $1.178 billion in the year-earlier period provided by a change in German law. Bayer expects 2008 sales of about $42.679 billion, a 5% increase on the previous year.
