INCOTEC Acquires SeedGard From Lantmannen
INCOTEC Group BV has acquired Sweden-based SeedGard from Lantmannen, according to a company release. The two companies agreed to a deal wherein INCOTEC will take a 49% stake in SeedGard, with an option to buy the remaining 51% in the next two years.
SeedGard has developed a sophisticated patented seed disinfection method using hot air that is currently being used by Lantmannen on a large scale on cereal seeds in Sweden.
INCOTEC has received the exclusive worldwide rights to further develop and market the technology for vegetable and flower seeds and will promote the technology to the agronomic market worldwide, except the Scandinavian and Baltic countries, which will be handled by Lantmannen.
