Tessenderlo Kerley Acquires Agrochem

Phoenix, Arizona, US-based Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. (TKI) – a producer and marketer of fertilizers and crop protection chemicals – has acquired the assets, marketing, and distribution channels of Agrochem of Istanbul and Izmir, Turkey. The company will be called Tessenderlo Agrochem (TA), reports Business Wire. Financial details were not yet publicly available.

Over the past 14 years, Agrochem has been a key distributor for TKI in the region. It also had been manufacturing TKI plant nutrient solutions including KTS, NZN, KPS, NMg, and NFE. The company plans to expand the plant to begin producing urea-triazone slow-release nitrogen solutions, as well.

General Manager Ugurtan Cop will continue as general manager of TA.
