To serve an expanding global client base, specialist Ag Tech Investment Advisory and Consulting firm Accumont, announces the appointment of eight new specialist associates and subject matter experts to its team.
The London based firms’ founders Stephen Pearce, Executive Chairman & Paul Streater, Chief Operating Officer are the partners responsible the Accumont investment advisory practice which advises funds, technology companies and value chain clients in food and agriculture. Accumont® possess deep technical knowledge in the Ag-Tech space, announced what they termed key hires to keep pace with its consulting projects, GAIN© insight reporting and technology scouting demand platforms.

Ben Shapiro joins the Accumont investment® advisory team as a Senior Executive, with experience in growth management, turnaround investment, portfolio management and IP commercialization, in the Consumer and Agtech sectors.
Marianna Vrettou joins Accumont® as a sector lead for market approach and distribution strategy. Marianna is a business professional with 20 years of experience in the crop protection industry, in strategic planning, marketing, and R&D of novel crop protection solutions, with extensive international experience in Germany, UK, USA and Greece.
Tobias Menne joins Accumont® as a sector lead in the AI and Digital Ag space. Tobias who is an experienced farmer himself is a data & AI enthusiast and entrepreneur. As a leader he has helped develop tech-based service-businesses and has hands-on experience in large corporations, start-ups and corporate ventures.
Christian Bachem joins Accumont® as a sector lead for Genetics & Plant breeding. Christian holds a PhD from Max Planck Institute in Cologne and possesses 40 years of experience in research as a plant scientist in both industry and academia. Christian’s appointment reflects the growing need to understand the interactions between germplasm and the effect of plant inputs and associated epigenetic outcomes.
Jorge Cartin joins Accumont® as regional lead for Central America & Andina. Jorge who is based in Costa Rica possesses more than 25 years-experience in the crop care & protection industry. Working in Europe, Latin America and the USA, with Multinationals and SMEs. Jorge has managed innovation projects and teams in multiple Agtech areas.
Sedat Yüksel joins Accumont® as regional lead for Turkey & Central Asia. Sedat is a seasoned business leader with 20 years-experience in the agriculture industry, including 15 years in managerial roles. His career spans multinational corporations, SMEs including Biotech Startups.
Meerten Smit joins Accumont® as regional lead for Benelux. Based in the Netherlands, Meerten brings more than 35 years-experience to Accumont clients in the crop care & protection industry, he has significant experience in both operational and strategic roles in the Benelux region, along with a deep understanding of farmer and distribution needs.
Keith Holdsworth joins Accumont® to lead the integrated supply chain practice. With background from multinational companies in both private equity and publicly listed sectors – spanning fresh produce, FMCG, Pharma and Agchem sectors, Keith brings over 30 years’ experience in Demand Planning, Customer Services, Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Outsourcing, Procurement and global manufacturing networks. Keith has extensive success in creating or enhancing all elements of Supply Chain, from Manufacturing and Distribution Network Optimisation to Customer Service Improvement.
