FMC firma un acuerdo sobre herbicidas con la japonesa Kumiai

FMC Corporation y Kumiai Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. acordaron evaluar un nuevo herbicida descubierto por Kumiai para su potencial desarrollo y comercialización global.

Kumiai e Ihara Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., ubicada en Japón, descubrieron la química en sus laboratorios de investigación. Kumiai se está asociando con FMC para evaluar y desarrollar el potencial comercial del nuevo herbicida. Las empresas evaluarán la química de varios cultivos mundiales y problemas de malezas en los próximos años.

“Our relationship with Kumiai is an extremely important one for FMC’s agricultural business, and I am delighted to be working with Kumiai on this new active ingredient, and we expect to progress rapidly in our evaluations,” said Milton Steele, president of FMC Agricultural Products Group in a statement. “The chemistry is a new herbicide that offers the potential to address some of the emerging herbicide resistance problems that farmers all over the world are experiencing.”
