Eric Wintemute, chairman and CEO of AMVAC’s parent company, American Vanguard Corporation, said: “This exciting joint venture opens up a new growth path for AMVAC Chemical in both consumer and commercial pest control. Additionally, we expect to develop innovative solutions leveraging TyraTech’s Extend technology platform to create novel, synergistic combinations of natural active ingredients with proven synthetic compounds for comprehensive agricultural insect control.”

Bruno Jactel, Tyratech’s chief executive, said: “These patents are important to demonstrate the synergy between our blends and synthetic compounds and that we are uniquely able to improve the efficacy while reducing the environmental footprint of synthetic pesticides. This will support both the strategy of Envance Technologies, our joint venture with AMVAC Chemical Corp.”

Jactel, who took over as CEO of Envance last month, has been charged with the acceleration of the commercialization of the company’s products.
