Brazil: AENDA and SmartTox Join Together for International Pesticide Regulations Update

On 22 October at 8 a.m. (Brazil time), AENDA and SmartTox are coordinating regulations experts for discussions and updates at the International Seminar on Agricultural Pesticide Regulation in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The hybrid event will host both online and in-person (capped off 20 attendees).

With many changes happening in the world of regulations, the virtual seminar will bring together insights from different regions and how it impacts Brazil.

“A comparative analysis of crop protection regulatory processes will be conducted, correlating the technical and legal requirements of Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, the European Union, and China,” says Alexandre Quesada, Founder of SmartTox. “The impacts of these discrepancies on the market and strategies for adapting and optimizing registration within the Brazilian context will be discussed.”

It will also cover the Brazilian regulatory’s “express pathway” for bio-inputs, while simultaneously tightening safety and responsibility requirements. Experts will cover the stricter guidelines for worker risk, new food residue limits, and the toxicological reevaluation of established active ingredients.
