China’s Pesticide Export Strategy Shifts Toward High-Quality Growth at 10th Exchange Conference
On September 25, 2025, the 10th Pesticide Import and Export Exchange Conference was successfully held in Xiamen, Fujian Province. Hosted by the China Association of Pesticide Development and Application (CAPDA) and co-organized by AgriBusiness Global’s Beijing Branch, and other key local exporting manufactures, the conference attracted over 160 participants from the industry.
With the theme of “New Image of China’s Pesticide Overseas Expansion – High-Quality Development”, this year’s conference focused on core topics such as analysis of China pesticide export status, registration regulations of major export destination countries, market intelligence in Brazil, the United States, the key Africa countries, and export risk management. It also interpreted hot issues including the import and export situation and opportunities to participate in international standards and covered practical operation guidelines for pesticide business in five major markets: Southeast Asia, Europe, Brazil, Africa and the United States.
In addition, a panel discussion session was set up to explore ways to break through the “involution” in overseas expansion, in which General Manager of ABG’s Beijing Branch, Yue Li introduced media communication strategies for exploring overseas markets.
Zhou Puguo, President of the China Association of Pesticide Development and Application (CAPDA), pointed out that China’s pesticide exports during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period have shown the characteristics of strong resilience, high adaptability and wide coverage. Facing challenges, he suggested that the industry should focus on high-quality development to consolidate core competitiveness, enterprises should formulate differentiated strategies based on accurate positioning, and the association should strengthen services to build a supportive platform. He also stated that the association will advocate self-discipline, guide differentiated overseas expansion and empower enterprises to shape a high-quality overseas image.
This exchange conference demonstrated that the China Association Pesticide Development and Application (CAPDA) has built a platform for enterprises to conduct sustainable international exchanges and advocated the high-quality and sustainable development of China’s pesticide industry in exports.
