Pesticides in Jordan are regulated by the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA — www.moa.gov.jo), Plant Protection Directorate/ Pesticides Division. Each imported pesticide shall be analyzed for conformity in composition and concentration, using the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) standards if it is an agricultural pesticide, and using the World Health Organization (WHO) if it is a public health pesticide.
