Trevor Thorley Named COO And Executive VP Of AMVAC
6 January 2009 Newport Beach, California, US-based American Vanguard Corporation announced in a press release that Trevor Thorley has been named as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of its principal operating subsidiary, AMVAC Chemical Corporation, effective immediately. In this newly created role, Mr. Thorley will be responsible for the sales, marketing, regulatory, research and development, manufacturing operations and administrative functions of AMVAC.
Thorley, who previously worked for 20 years at German multinational Bayer, has spent the last six years as President and Chief Operating Officer of Valent USA Corporation, the US subsidiary of Sumitomo Chemical Company. In his most recenet position as Executive Officer for Sumitomo Chemical, Thorley was the first non-Japanese executive accorded such a role.
