Futureco Bioscience, the Spanish biotechnology company specialized in the development and manufacture of biostimulants and biological control solutions for sustainable agriculture, has announced the opening of its new subsidiary, Futureco Tarım TİC. LTD. ŞTİ., headquartered in Istanbul, Türkiye. This milestone reinforces the company’s global expansion strategy and strengthens its presence in one of the world’s most dynamic agricultural regions: an export-oriented market for high-value crops that bridges Europe and Asia.

Positioned at the crossroads of continents, the new entity will serve as a hub to support local growers and distributors while expanding operations into Central Asian and Middle Eastern markets. Futureco Bioscience will showcase its latest biocontrol, biostimulant, and biofertilizer innovations at Growtech Antalya in November.

Türkiye: a strategic bridge between Europe and Asia

With agricultural exports exceeding 36 billion USD in 2024, Türkiye ranks among the world’s leading suppliers of fresh fruits, vegetables, and nuts. It is the top global exporter of hazelnuts and a major producer of cherries, figs, apricots and apples: crops where quality and resilience are decisive for export success. The country’s agricultural strength is also reinforced by a rapidly expanding protected-cropping sector, covering more than 75,000 hectares of greenhouses, with Antalya as the main hub for intensive vegetable production such as tomato, cucumber, and pepper. The growing professionalization of this sector, together with emerging trends like banana cultivation under greenhouse in the south, is driving demand for advanced biological programs that deliver fast, visible results.

At the same time, climate variability is intensifying abiotic stress and increasing production costs. These are precisely the challenges addressed by Futureco Bioscience’s science-based biostimulant portfolio, which enhances osmotic balance, frost, heat and UV tolerance, and nutrient efficiency.

Strategically located between Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia, Türkiye serves as a natural gateway for agricultural trade and innovation. Establishing a direct presence here reflects Futureco Bioscience’s commitment to local growers and distributors and its ambition to create an eastern hub serving consolidated and emerging markets across the region.
“Opening a subsidiary here strengthens our proximity to local growers and partners and positions us to share our science-based solutions across a region that will be decisive for the sustainable future of global food production,” said Rafael Juncosa, President and CEO of Futureco Bioscience.

Focus on crop resilience and export quality

The new subsidiary will concentrate on key Turkish crops, cereals, potatoes, sugar beet, cotton, fruit trees, vegetables, and vineyards, where resilience and export quality are essential for competitiveness. Futureco Bioscience’s biological programs, combining biostimulants and biocontrol solutions, help stabilize yields under environmental stress while supporting compliance with EU residue and sustainability standards.

Türkiye’s close trade relationship with the European Union, which receives 41% of its agricultural exports, makes it an ideal setting for the company’s residue-friendly technologies. Flagship products such as Fitomaat, UltraV, and Botamisol Pro 80 enhance plant performance under heat, drought, and UV stress, improving both productivity and export readiness.

“For Turkish producers and exporters, adopting biological technologies is not only a path to sustainability but also a direct driver of competitiveness in international markets,” said Baran Bayram Yucel, Country Manager of Futureco Bioscience Türkiye. “Türkiye offers immense potential for innovative technologies that enhance both yield and quality. Our local presence allows us to provide immediate technical support and develop protocols adapted to each region’s specific agronomic and climatic conditions.

Bridging Global Innovation and Local Challenges

While Türkiye offers great potential, Futureco Bioscience also recognizes challenges such as input price and climate variability. Through its local subsidiary, the company will address these factors by maintaining a dedicated presence to manage registration processes, align protocols with EU-style regulatory standards, and diversify its biological programs across regions and crops, balancing seasonal and regional variability.

This new presence reinforces Futureco Bioscience’s commitment to sustainable growth and strengthens its capacity to serve key agricultural markets from Europe to Asia. Acting as a bridge between continents, the subsidiary enhances the company’s agility in distribution and technical support, driving the adoption of biological solutions that make agriculture more resilient, competitive, and environmentally responsible.

Futureco Bioscience is now seeking distribution partners in Türkiye who share its vision of boosting productivity without compromising sustainability. With proven expertise in regulatory affairs, field protocols, and technical positioning, the company offers a comprehensive partnership model and long-term collaboration framework based on innovation, trust, and shared growth.
