“This global technology platform will offer growers a novel biological mode of action for nematode control,” said Christoph Goppelsroeder, Syngenta Global Head of Seed Care in a prepared statement. “Recent field trial results in US soybeans have shown encouraging results, demonstrating that this technology combined with Syngenta’s seed treatment expertise can provide growers with a significant opportunity to increase their yields.”
联合开发最初将侧重于控制大豆胞囊线虫 (SCN) 的种子处理产品，据估计，仅在美国每年就会造成超过 $10 亿美元的作物损失。据新闻稿称，先正达和巴斯德里亚的目标是在两年内推出此类合作的首款产品。
